The History of the ★ Ursus Knife | Safari Mesh in CS2 (CS:GO)

The ★ Ursus Knife | Safari Mesh in CS2 (CS:GO) was first introduced during the "A New Horizon" update on August 2, 2018, as part of the Horizon Case. The design of this skin was created by Valve's internal art team, featuring a utilitarian look with a blade coated in a stenciled camouflage mesh. Its understated aesthetic quickly gained traction within the CS:GO community, especially during esports tournaments where simple yet tactically themed skins were appreciated by players and fans. The CS2 (CS:GO) ★ Ursus Knife | Safari Mesh was propelled into the spotlight during several CS:GO Majors, as pros and streamers showcased it during intense clutch moments. Community hype peaked with the introduction of new knife finishes, but the Safari Mesh retained its dedicated following due to its affordability and classic military vibe. As CS:GO transitioned to Counter-Strike 2, the Ursus Knife | Safari Mesh continued to maintain its presence, benefiting from the enhanced visual fidelity of the updated engine. Today, it remains popular among both long-time enthusiasts and a new generation of Counter-Strike players.

How Rare Is the ★ Ursus Knife | Safari Mesh?

The ★ Ursus Knife | Safari Mesh in CS2 (CS:GO) holds a rare status as a Covert knife skin, obtainable from several cases including the Horizon Case, Danger Zone Case, and Prisma Case. It has not been removed from active drop pools, ensuring a consistent but limited supply. The CS2 (CS:GO) ★ Ursus Knife | Safari Mesh is typically unboxed with an estimated drop chance of less than 1%, making it as elusive as other Covert knives. While there is no Souvenir variant available for this skin, its rarity is influenced by the fluctuating availability of cases and market demand. The skin’s popularity remains steady, particularly among players seeking a cost-effective knife option. Rarity of ★ Ursus Knife | Safari Mesh is further enhanced by low float value versions and StatTrak™ editions, both of which command higher prices due to their scarcity and desirability.
