The History of the ★ Shadow Daggers | Safari Mesh in CS2 (CS:GO)

★ Shadow Daggers | Safari Mesh in CS2 (CS:GO) was introduced on September 17, 2015, as part of the Shadow Case update in CS:GO, designed by Valve's in-house team. Its design draws inspiration from desert camo, using a mesh spray-over technique to create a utilitarian, military-style look. Initially met with mixed reactions, the skin gained traction during several CS:GO Major tournaments, where the Shadow Daggers became a showpiece for both pro players and up-and-coming streamers.

Its popularity rose again during brief price drops, sparking hype within the trading community. Collectors valued the CS2 (CS:GO) ★ Shadow Daggers | Safari Mesh for its affordability and iconic aesthetic, making it a popular inclusion in themed inventories. When Counter-Strike 2 launched, the skin transitioned smoothly, retaining its appeal due to the crispness of its updated visuals and the nostalgia associated with early daggers. Today, it continues to be a budget-friendly favorite and is frequently spotlighted across knife showcases and skin trading groups.

How Rare Is the ★ Shadow Daggers | Safari Mesh?

★ Shadow Daggers | Safari Mesh in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as a Covert skin—the highest rarity tier for knives in the game. CS2 (CS:GO) ★ Shadow Daggers | Safari Mesh can be found exclusively via Shadow Case and Operation Wildfire Case drops. Although not removed from drop pools, the frequency and low probability of unboxing (less than 1%) make this skin a rare find for lucky players.

There is no Souvenir version available, and the skin does not feature autograph stickers, further limiting special editions or unique variants. Community interest remains steady, especially among those seeking affordable knives, but it does not reach the hype level of more extravagant Covert skins. Compared to other Covert knives, it's relatively more available due to low demand and its continuous presence in active cases. This accessibility, combined with its classic camo aesthetic, ensures it maintains consistent, if moderate, popularity in the CS2 (CS:GO) marketplace.
