The History of the SG 553 | Desert Blossom in CS2 (CS:GO)

The SG 553 | Desert Blossom in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed by the prominent skin creator "MultiH" and released as part of The Anubis Collection in April 2023, coinciding with the introduction of the Anubis map. Its appearance is inspired by the flora and mosaics of Ancient Egypt, making it instantly recognizable among the collection’s unique and thematic designs.

The skin gained traction during the CS:GO Majors, where it was regularly seen in the inventories of aspiring and established esports players. Its distinctive pattern and vibrant color palette generated community hype, especially when featured during high-profile matches streamed worldwide. Over time, Desert Blossom became synonymous with the competitive meta and was highly prized during trading events and unboxing sessions.

As CS:GO transitioned to Counter-Strike 2, the skin smoothly entered the new chapter of Counter-Strike, with the CS2 (CS:GO) SG 553 | Desert Blossom maintaining its popularity thanks to improved lighting and texture fidelity. The skin’s legacy as a community favorite continues, drawing both new and veteran players who appreciate unique and finely crafted cosmetics.

How Rare Is the SG 553 | Desert Blossom?

The SG 553 | Desert Blossom in CS2 (CS:GO) is a Classified Rifle skin (pink rarity), which places it among the rarer drops in its respective collection. The skin could originally be obtained exclusively from The Anubis Collection Package, first released alongside the new map. Since the CS2 (CS:GO) SG 553 | Desert Blossom was only available through package drops and is not part of any active drop pool, its supply is strictly limited by the number of packages opened or held on the market.

Rarity of SG 553 | Desert Blossom is further enhanced due to the absence of a Souvenir version and the fact that Anubis Collection Packages can be both expensive and less widespread than other case drops. The probability of unboxing this skin is quite low given its Classified tier, with odds estimated at under 4%. While not the rarest in existence, its unique design and collection exclusivity contribute to its enduring popularity among dedicated collectors and skin enthusiasts.

SG 553 | Desert Blossom Wear Levels and Conditions

Pattern description:
The SG 553 | Desert Blossom finish covers the rifle with a delicate pattern of red desert flowers, green foliage, and sand-blasted tan backgrounds, making every float and wear level show subtle differences in how much the artwork is preserved.

Pattern difference:
Pattern indexing does not significantly alter the main visual, as most variations keep the primary flora design front and center.

Effect of float:
The SG 553 | Desert Blossom float value ranges from 0.00 to 0.70, making it available in all standard wear levels from Factory New to Battle-Scarred. Higher float values introduce abrasions, especially on raised surfaces.

SG 553 | Desert Blossom Factory New: Minimal wear and vibrant color, with very little visible scratching. This condition fetches the highest prices and appeals most to collectors.

SG 553 | Desert Blossom Minimal Wear: Slightly muted hues with minimal surface abrasions, making it a more budget-friendly yet still visually crisp version.

SG 553 | Desert Blossom Field Tested: Noticeable wear begins, especially on edges and high-contact locations; the artwork remains appealing, but closer inspection reveals evident scuffs.

SG 553 | Desert Blossom Well Worn: More pronounced fading and scratches with larger scuffed areas, resulting in a weathered appearance that can appeal to some for its battle-hardened aesthetic.

SG 553 | Desert Blossom Battle Scarred: Heavy wear throughout, with significant loss of the decorative coating; the central pattern may be partially lost, leading to the lowest market price.

SG 553 | Desert Blossom StatTrak: The StatTrak version of this skin records confirmed kills and commands a premium due to its rarity and popularity among those who want to display their stats. StatTrak Factory New variants are especially prized.

SG 553 | Desert Blossom float value impacts both price and visual fidelity significantly, driving collector demand toward lower float specimens.

SG 553 | Desert Blossom finish retains its unique, floral desert artistry throughout all conditions, though its sharpness and saturation are most evident in lower wear levels.
