The History of the SCAR-20 | Jungle Slipstream in CS2 (CS:GO)

The SCAR-20 | Jungle Slipstream in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed by Valve’s in-house art team and debuted on September 3, 2018, as part of the Horizon Case update during CS:GO’s later years. The skin's vibrant jungle camo pattern, blended with teal and green hues, quickly caught the attention of players looking for affordable, fresh options for the SCAR-20.

Though not initially one of the most sought-after weapons, community hype for the CS2 (CS:GO) SCAR-20 | Jungle Slipstream grew during popular Majors and Twitch highlight reels, especially when used by aggressive snipers in eco rounds. The skin’s understated charm and clean design allowed it to stand out during times when flashy skins dominated the market.

With the release and transition to Counter-Strike 2, the Jungle Slipstream experienced renewed popularity. Its camo design pairs well with CS2’s enhanced lighting and rendering, making it more visually impressive and integrating smoothly with the game’s updated aesthetic. Today, it enjoys steady demand from casual players, collectors, and enthusiasts seeking reliable and well-designed skins for their SCAR-20, holding a respected spot in the community.

How Rare Is the SCAR-20 | Jungle Slipstream?

The SCAR-20 | Jungle Slipstream in CS2 (CS:GO) belongs to the Mil-Spec (Blue) rarity tier and can be found in the Horizon Case. This case was never removed from the drop pool, ensuring steady but controlled supply, which helps keep the skin relatively accessible but not overly common.

The CS2 (CS:GO) SCAR-20 | Jungle Slipstream maintains a moderate unboxing probability: as a Mil-Spec skin, its odds are significantly better than Restricted or Covert skins, but it does not have Souvenir or ultra-rare status. As of now, there are no Souvenir editions, lowering its high-end collector appeal but keeping it a solid choice for everyday use.

Its steady popularity among players ensures regular market activity, but overall, the rarity of SCAR-20 | Jungle Slipstream is balanced, making it a great entry-level collectible or inventory upgrade for SCAR-20 fans.
