The History of the SCAR-20 | Cardiac in CS2 (CS:GO)

SCAR-20 | Cardiac in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed by the acclaimed community artist Nextgenz and brought to life with a dynamic, circuitry-inspired heart motif that captures players' imaginations. This futuristic skin was first introduced with the Chroma Case as part of the "Full Spectrum" update released on January 8, 2015, during the CS:GO era. Its bold color palette and intricate design quickly resonated with the Counter-Strike community, especially during high-profile CS:GO Majors, where the SCAR-20 | Cardiac made regular appearances among top fraggers. As matches escalated in tension, sightings of this skin fueled discussions and hype across online forums, trading sites, and Twitch streams. The transition of the CS2 (CS:GO) SCAR-20 | Cardiac into Counter-Strike 2 ensured its legacy continued as a staple among hi-tech-themed collections, and its popularity has been reinforced by both its unique style and its frequent use in pro lobbies. Collectors value its original design and historical significance, while everyday players continue to choose it for its expressive look and recognition in Counter-Strike skin history.

How Rare Is the SCAR-20 | Cardiac?

The rarity of SCAR-20 | Cardiac in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as "Classified" (pink grade), putting it among the rarer skin drops for the automatic sniper. The CS2 (CS:GO) SCAR-20 | Cardiac can be obtained through the Chroma Case, which remains available for opening but is not part of the active drop pool, increasing the long-term scarcity of the skin. The odds of unboxing a Classified-grade weapon are generally around 3.2%, making the Rarity of SCAR-20 | Cardiac quite significant for collectors and traders. No Souvenir version exists for this skin, so all available SCAR-20 | Cardiac editions are strictly from the Chroma Case. Its sharp, neon design and status as a case-exclusive skin have helped sustain its popularity in both casual and competitive play, keeping it desirable despite the lack of recent drops. As a result, prices are stable and the skin retains a steady demand on the community and Steam markets.

SCAR-20 | Cardiac Wear Levels and Conditions

Pattern description
The SCAR-20 | Cardiac finish is a standout skin featuring vibrant electric blue and metallic pink circuitry surrounding a luminous, stylized heart overlaid onto the rifle’s body. The pattern remains consistent across all float values, with minor visual changes due to wear.

Pattern difference
There are no significant pattern variations, so every SCAR-20 | Cardiac looks largely the same apart from wear.

Effect of float
The SCAR-20 | Cardiac float value ranges from 0.00 to 1.00, allowing it to appear in all wear levels: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred. The higher the float, the more worn and faded the finish appears, especially at the edges and high-contact points.

Skin Wear levels explained in detail:
SCAR-20 | Cardiac Factory New: This variant boasts the cleanest, brightest colors and pristine detailing. Prices are highest for Factory New due to its flawless aesthetics and desirability among collectors.
SCAR-20 | Cardiac Minimal Wear: Very close in appearance to Factory New, but may show tiny amounts of edge wear under scrutiny. Offers good value for collectors on a budget.
SCAR-20 | Cardiac Field Tested: Here, the finish starts to lose some vibrancy and displays minor scuffs and scrapes, especially near the barrel and stock. Still popular for players who want the design at a lower price.
SCAR-20 | Cardiac Well Worn: Noticeable fading and abrasions appear, with further dulling of colors and details. Prices are lower, but it still retains the core design elements.
SCAR-20 | Cardiac Battle Scarred: The most affordable, with heavy wear, extensive fading, and scratches, making the artwork appear much more subdued. Preferred by budget-conscious players.
SCAR-20 | Cardiac StatTrak: All wear levels are also available as StatTrak™ variants, equipped with a kill-tracking display. StatTrak™ versions are often more expensive than non-StatTrak models due to their added feature and collector appeal.

SCAR-20 | Cardiac float value is crucial in determining both cosmetic quality and market value across all versions.
