The History of the SCAR-20 | Bloodsport in CS2 (CS:GO)

The SCAR-20 | Bloodsport in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed by community artist Graff and introduced on May 23, 2017, as part of the Operation Hydra Case. It quickly garnered attention for its striking, race car-inspired graphic finish, featuring bold logos, crisp text, and a vibrant mix of reds, whites, yellows, and blacks. From its release, it caught the eye of the Counter-Strike community, particularly during major CS:GO tournaments and esports broadcasts, where pros and content creators showcased its unique design. Hype around the skin soared whenever professional matches highlighted standout plays using the SCAR-20 | Bloodsport, making it a highly desirable item for both players and spectators. As the game transitioned from CS:GO to CS2, the CS2 (CS:GO) SCAR-20 | Bloodsport maintained its popularity due to its exceptional visual flair and status as a Covert-grade skin, ensuring its spot among high-value collectibles. Today, it retains strong demand in both trade-up contracts and direct sales, cementing its historical importance in the world of Counter-Strike skins.

How Rare Is the SCAR-20 | Bloodsport?

The SCAR-20 | Bloodsport in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as a Covert rifle skin, making it one of the rarest drops in its collection. The CS2 (CS:GO) SCAR-20 | Bloodsport was introduced in the Operation Hydra Case, which is now discontinued, directly impacting its supply on the market and increasing its rarity. The probability of unboxing this skin from Operation Hydra Cases is extremely low, estimated at less than 1% per case due to its Covert grade. There are no Souvenir versions, making special drops unavailable. Despite its low drop rate, the skin maintains high popularity thanks to its eye-catching design and frequent appearances in high-level play. Rarity of SCAR-20 | Bloodsport also benefits from limited case openings, with remaining Hydra Cases becoming increasingly scarce and more valuable.

SCAR-20 | Bloodsport Wear Levels and Conditions

Pattern description:
The SCAR-20 | Bloodsport finish features a racing-inspired, high-contrast combination of red, black, and white, accentuated with stylized sponsor-style decals and mechanical motifs. The modern design gives the rifle a futuristic, sports-car-like appearance.

Pattern difference:
This skin does not have any significant pattern index differences, so its look remains consistent regardless of the float or pattern seed.

Effect of float:
The SCAR-20 | Bloodsport float value ranges from 0.06 to 0.80, making it available in all wear conditions. Lower floats mean minimal scratches and sharper colors; higher floats introduce more visible wear.

Skin Features:
The SCAR-20 | Bloodsport finish is iconic and easily recognizable, appealing to players who love flashy, bold skins.

SCAR-20 | Bloodsport Factory New:
Factory New (float 0.06–0.07) skins show near-pristine quality, with bright decals, crisp graphics, and almost no visible blemishes. SCAR-20 | Bloodsport Factory New is the most sought-after and expensive condition.

SCAR-20 | Bloodsport Minimal Wear:
Minimal Wear (float 0.07–0.15) versions are also highly valued, with only minor, barely noticeable signs of wear near the edges. SCAR-20 | Bloodsport Minimal Wear is a good balance of price and appearance.

SCAR-20 | Bloodsport Field Tested:
Field-Tested (float 0.15–0.37) displays more scratches and a slightly faded look but retains most of its visual appeal.

SCAR-20 | Bloodsport Well Worn:
Well Worn (float 0.37–0.44) has more pronounced abrasions and dulls some of the vibrant artwork. SCAR-20 | Bloodsport Well Worn is a budget choice for fans.

SCAR-20 | Bloodsport Battle Scarred:
Battle-Scarred (float 0.44–0.80) shows significant wear, faded colors, and scratches over the main artwork. SCAR-20 | Bloodsport Battle Scarred is the least expensive condition but the design still remains recognizable.

SCAR-20 | Bloodsport StatTrak:
StatTrak™ versions of each wear level are available and display a kill counter on the weapon. SCAR-20 | Bloodsport StatTrak is typically more valuable than non-StatTrak™ skins in the same condition. StatTrak™ options multiply the appeal for collectors and players who want to track their in-game performance.

SCAR-20 | Bloodsport Price & Market Value

The SCAR-20 | Bloodsport price varies noticeably depending on its wear level and StatTrak™ feature. Currently, SCAR-20 | Bloodsport price on the Steam Market ranges from around $10–$13 for Field-Tested, $18–$22 for Minimal Wear, and up to $35–$60 for Factory New versions. SCAR-20 | Bloodsport price rises for StatTrak™ variants, with Factory New StatTrak™ versions reaching $80 or more. There is no Souvenir edition, so there are no tournament player signature price premiums. Factors strongly influencing pricing include float value (lower floats command higher prices), attached rare stickers, and StatTrak™ kill counter presence. How much is the SCAR-20 | Bloodsport? It sits solidly between affordable and premium for a Covert skin—costlier than many SCAR-20 finishes, but well within mid-tier for high-end collectors. Is SCAR-20 | Bloodsport worth buying? Its standout design, moderate rarity, and steady market demand make it a strong choice for players who want collectible, visually impactful skins with solid long-term value.
