The History of the SCAR-20 | Assault in CS2 (CS:GO)

The SCAR-20 | Assault in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed by community artist "MultiH," also known for other acclaimed finishes. It debuted on February 15, 2018, as part of The Clutch Collection during the "Welcome to the Clutch" update. Its introduction brought a fresh, dynamic look to the SCAR-20 rifle, utilizing a vibrant red digital camo pattern with black and gray accents, resonating with fans seeking bold aesthetics on their weapons. The CS2 (CS:GO) SCAR-20 | Assault quickly amassed a strong following during major CS:GO tournaments, particularly for its visibility on broadcast and the respect associated with its high kill potential. Community hype surged during periods when tactical playstyles gained meta traction, further boosting the skin's desirability. With the transition into Counter-Strike 2, its iconic status remained intact, and new graphical improvements showcased the skin's detailed camo even more vividly, keeping it relevant and popular in CS2 both in casual play and among skin traders.

How Rare Is the SCAR-20 | Assault?

The SCAR-20 | Assault in CS2 (CS:GO) holds a Restricted rarity, making it a moderately rare drop within the game. This skin is available exclusively through The Clutch Case, which means players must either open this case or purchase it on the Steam Market. As of now, the CS2 (CS:GO) SCAR-20 | Assault has not been removed from drop pools, ensuring ongoing—although limited—supply. The probability of unboxing it from a Clutch Case hovers around 12.8%, with even lower odds for StatTrak versions.
