The History of the Sawed-Off | Limelight in CS2 (CS:GO)

The Sawed-Off | Limelight in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed by the community artist SLIMEface and was introduced as part of the Prisma 2 Collection on March 31, 2020. Its release came at a time when bold, vibrant designs were gaining traction among players. The skin’s electric green and deep black finish quickly made it a standout among other Sawed-Off options, securing a loyal following. It rose to fame during CS:GO Majors, where its presence in the hands of competitive players sparked chatter across the community. Hype soared as unboxings were streamed live and shared on Reddit, especially during promotional events tied to the Prisma 2 Case. The transition of the skin into CS2 brought renewed interest, and the CS2 (CS:GO) Sawed-Off | Limelight now enjoys renewed relevance as the graphics and lighting of the new engine highlight its neon palette even further. Its sustained popularity is a testament to its striking aesthetics and enduring appeal within the evolving skin economy.

How Rare Is the Sawed-Off | Limelight?

The Sawed-Off | Limelight in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as a Restricted rarity skin, which places it among the rarer drops obtainable from the Prisma 2 Case. The CS2 (CS:GO) Sawed-Off | Limelight cannot be acquired through standard in-game drops and must be unboxed from the Prisma 2 Case, contributing to its relative scarcity. The estimated probability of unboxing this skin stands at approximately 3.2% per case, making it a moderately rare find. There is currently no Souvenir Sawed-Off | Limelight, so no additional odds or pro autographs are associated with this item. Its popularity remains strong due to its vivid design, but supply is directly tied to ongoing case availability. If the Prisma 2 Case is ever removed from active drop pools, the Rarity of Sawed-Off | Limelight could increase further, potentially raising both desirability and market value.
