What is Revolver Case? The Revolver Case in CS2 (CS:GO) is a classic weapon case that has become a significant part of the Counter-Strike 2 skin ecosystem. Released in late 2015, the CS2 (CS:GO) Revolver Case contains a selection of popular and visually impressive skins, as well as the iconic R8 Revolver weapon.
Highly regarded among both collectors and professional players, the Revolver Case in CS2 (CS:GO) is sought after not only for its unique skin line-up but also for its historical value. Many consider it an essential case for any serious inventory, as it marks the introduction of the R8 Revolver and features classic finishes for weapons like the Desert Eagle and AWP. Over the years, the CS2 (CS:GO) Revolver Case has become increasingly valuable, with limited supply making it a prized piece for enthusiasts and high-tier traders.
The History of the Revolver Case in CS2 (CS:GO)
The vibrant community hype was fueled by the case’s potential for rare drops and its association with the dramatic introduction of the R8 Revolver, which caused major balance discussions throughout the scene. Over the years, some of the case’s most beloved skins gained recognition at pro events and in community showcases.
Following the transition from CS:GO to Counter-Strike 2, the Revolver Case in CS2 (CS:GO) retained its allure among old and new players alike. The rarity and nostalgia for its original release, combined with the prestige of having CS:GO-era skins in CS2, have solidified its popularity and status as a collector's item.
How Rare Is the Revolver Case?
Unboxing a Covert or Rare Special Item from the case has standard case odds, but the supply is constrained due to its discontinued status. There is no Souvenir Revolver Case, so all items are standard, and the existing inventory shrinks over time. The overall popularity remains high, given the unique skins it offers and its historical significance.
Revolver Case Wear Levels and Conditions
Each Revolver Case finish features unique designs with different colors and artistic motifs, such as the vivid Royal Paladin M4A4 or the eye-catching Fade R8 Revolver.
Pattern difference
There is little difference in pattern index for most Revolver Case in CS2 (CS:GO) skins, but some (like Fade) may vary in coverage and coloration.
Effect of float
The Revolver Case float value determines the skin's wear – ranging from pristine to heavily used. Lower floats indicate better condition and higher value.
Skin Features
The CS2 (CS:GO) Revolver Case houses multiple weapon skins and a rare chance for a high-value knife.
Factory New
Revolver Case factory new skins have minimal to no wear, often displaying full vibrancy and detail. They are typically the most expensive due to their visual perfection and low supply.
Minimal Wear
Revolver Case minimal wear versions show negligible signs of use, offering a balance between aesthetics and price.
Field-Tested
Revolver Case Field Tested skins begin to show moderate abrasions, especially at edges and prominent areas, making them more affordable.
Well-Worn
Revolver Case well worn skins display heavy usage marks and noticeable wear, making them more budget-friendly choices.
Battle-Scarred
Revolver Case Battle Scarred variants exhibit the most wear, with major scrapes and faded artwork. They're usually the cheapest, though some collectors value the "battle-hardened" look.
StatTrak™ versions
Revolver Case StatTrak skins include a kill-tracking feature. These variants command premium prices, especially in factory new or minimal wear. Due to their additional functionality, Revolver Case StatTrak versions remain highly desirable.
Revolver Case float value and finish can heavily influence skin prices, making careful selection important for collectors.
Revolver Case Price & Market Value
Price ranges by wear:
- Factory New: $10 – $100+ (for top-tier skins)
- Minimal Wear, Field Tested, Well-Worn, Battle-Scarred: $1 – $50+ depending on skin rarity and popularity.
Souvenir variants are not available for this case.
The Revolver Case price is influenced by overall float value, demand for certain finishes, and the secondary market. If you are considering, "How much is the Revolver Case?" – it remains a budget-friendly entry but can escalate quickly for StatTrak variants. Unique stickers and low float values further boost the Revolver Case price. Is Revolver Case worth buying? For traders and collectors, its increasing rarity makes it a smart speculative purchase.
