The History of the R8 Revolver | Llama Cannon in CS2 (CS:GO)

The R8 Revolver | Llama Cannon in CS2 (CS:GO) was created by the community designer Nextgenz, famous for their vibrant and creative skin work. This skin debuted on December 8, 2015, as part of the Revolver Case, arriving alongside the R8 Revolver weapon itself.

Early on, the CS2 (CS:GO) R8 Revolver | Llama Cannon garnered attention with its bold, cartoonish llama engravings, sophisticated blue enamel, and distinctive gold trim. Its whimsical yet elegant motif set it apart during a time when more serious designs dominated CS:GO's skin market.

Although it did not feature in every Major tournament, the Llama Cannon enjoyed moments of increased popularity during high-profile matches where players favored the R8 Revolver’s stopping power. These appearances, combined with community enthusiasm for the skin's distinct look, fueled significant market demand and brought the Llama Cannon into the spotlight, especially during case-opening events and trading booms.

Following the transition into Counter-Strike 2, the R8 Revolver | Llama Cannon maintained its relevance, as its vibrant finish translates beautifully in the updated engine, retaining its collectability and player prestige into CS2.

How Rare Is the R8 Revolver | Llama Cannon?

The R8 Revolver | Llama Cannon in CS2 (CS:GO) boasts the coveted Covert rarity, making it one of the rarest pistol skins available in the game. CS2 (CS:GO) R8 Revolver | Llama Cannon can be unboxed from the Revolver Case, placing it among a select group of highly sought-after drops.

The rarity of R8 Revolver | Llama Cannon is further amplified by the low chance of receiving a Covert item—estimated at under 1% per case opening. As of now, the skin remains available in the game, but the Revolver Case appears infrequently as a drop, impacting both supply and accessibility.

There is no Souvenir R8 Revolver | Llama Cannon version, so players need to focus on unboxing or trading for the standard or StatTrak™ variants. Its popularity is consistently strong within the CS2( CS:GO) community, valued for its distinct appearance and rarity.

Field-Tested

R8 Revolver | Llama Cannon Well Worn displays more significant abrasions, particularly on raised metal sections. The design is still visible, but some vibrancy is lost, matching a competitive mid-range price.

Battle-Scarred
R8 Revolver | Llama Cannon Battle Scarred has the highest degree of visible wear, with faded llamas and dulled colors. This variant is the most accessible but has the most dramatic visual difference.
