The History of the P90 | Grim in CS2 (CS:GO)

The origins of the P90 | Grim trace back to its design by The Honey Badger, an artist in the Steam Workshop community. Introduced to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive as part of the Gamma Collection on June 15, 2016, the P90 | Grim in CS2 (CS:GO) quickly caught the eye of fans for its vibrant neon-green skeleton design climbing across the weapon's body. Its release coincided with a period of increased excitement around new skin collections, partially driven by the evolving esports scene. The CS2 (CS:GO) P90 | Grim gained momentum during CS:GO Majors as more pros began using it, contributing to a spike in community interest and demand. Social media and skin trading forums saw waves of hype during promotional events and content creator streams.

As Counter-Strike transitioned from CS:GO to CS2, the P90 | Grim remained a staple among budget-conscious players and those who appreciate bold, graphic weapon art. Its consistent presence in trade-ups and market transactions has solidified its role as a beloved choice in the CS2 skin arsenal, ensuring that it continues to enjoy popularity and a loyal following in the newer version of the game.

How Rare Is the P90 | Grim?

The P90 | Grim in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as a Mil-Spec Grade skin, making it relatively common compared to higher-tier finishes. You can obtain the CS2 (CS:GO) P90 | Grim from the Gamma Case, which is still widely available on the market and has never been removed from the drop pool. The Rarity of P90 | Grim means the odds of unboxing one as a standard drop are higher than restricted or covert skins, estimated at around 79.92% within its grade. There is currently no Souvenir P90 | Grim, meaning souvenir odds do not apply. Despite its humble rarity, the skin enjoys notable popularity due to its striking design and affordable pricing, maintaining high demand among both new and experienced CS2 players who seek a visually strong option without the high cost associated with rare drops.

P90 | Grim Wear Levels and Conditions

Pattern description: The P90 | Grim finish showcases an eerie, neon-green skeleton motif crawling over a deep green and black base, making it stand out in any inventory.

Pattern difference: The skeleton pattern maintains a consistent look regardless of the pattern index, so the main difference comes from the level of wear.

Effect of float: The P90 | Grim float value ranges between 0.00 and 0.50, allowing drops in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred conditions. A lower float indicates less visible wear, preserving the vivid green finish.

Factory New: The P90 | Grim factory new condition features minimal scratches and the most vibrant colors. Prices are usually the highest, offering maximum visual appeal for collectors and players.

Minimal Wear: The P90 | Grim minimal wear retains most of its original luster, with only slight abrasions near the edges. It's a popular pick due to great value and nearly perfect aesthetics.

Field-Tested: The P90 | Grim Field Tested offers a middle ground, where slight wear and dimming emerge, but the skin remains highly recognizable and affordable.

Well-Worn: The P90 | Grim well worn shows more pronounced scratches and some dulling, but the skeleton design is still mostly intact. This version is great for budget-focused buyers.

Battle-Scarred: The P90 | Grim Battle Scarred option exhibits the heaviest wear, fading, and significant loss of finish. However, for those who prefer a "battle-hardened" look, it provides a unique aesthetic.

StatTrak™ P90 | Grim: Each condition, from P90 | Grim factory new to P90 | Grim Battle Scarred, also comes in P90 | Grim StatTrak versions. StatTrak adds a kill-counter capability, making these variants more expensive and desirable among stat-trackers and collectors. The P90 | Grim StatTrak versions reflect the float and wear visually, and often command a premium. Overall, the P90 | Grim finish is known for retaining much of its detailed aesthetic, even in lower wear levels.
