The History of the P250 | Apep's Curse in CS2 (CS:GO)

P250 | Apep"s Curse in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed by community artist Hoxton and was introduced to the game as part of the Anubis Collection on April 24, 2023. This release coincided with the highly anticipated Anubis-themed update, injecting a fresh and culturally inspired aesthetic into the game. The skin’s appearance instantly grabbed the attention of the player base due to its elaborate snake motifs and deep blue background, symbolic of Egyptian mythology's chaotic serpent, Apep.

During high-profile CS:GO Majors following its introduction, several pro players were spotted wielding the skin, driving community excitement and boosting its status among collectors and traders. The hype reached its peak during Twitch streams and social media features, with fans eager to unbox this rare skin.

As Counter-Strike transitioned from CS:GO to CS2, the CS2 (CS:GO) P250 | Apep"s Curse retained its desirability, with its authenticity and vivid artwork perfectly preserved by Valve's visual upgrades. Its legacy continues in CS2, maintaining a strong market value and an influential presence among enthusiasts and professionals alike.

How Rare Is the P250 | Apep's Curse?

P250 | Apep"s Curse in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as a Classified rarity skin, making it one of the more elusive pistol finishes available. CS2 (CS:GO) P250 | Apep"s Curse was introduced through The Anubis Collection, which could be obtained from the Anubis Collection Package and not regular weapon cases. The rarity of P250 | Apep"s Curse is intensified by the limited means of acquiring the Anubis Collection Package, especially after event-based drop pools expire or are removed, further constraining its supply.

The probability of unboxing a Classified skin like this from the Anubis Collection Package is quite low, contributing to its premium reputation. Unlike some skins, the P250 | Apep"s Curse does not have a Souvenir variant, thus all unboxed versions are standard or StatTrak. As a result, CS2 (CS:GO) fans and traders regularly monitor the market for supply fluctuations, keeping this skin among the most popular and valuable options for P250 enthusiasts.

P250 | Apep's Curse Wear Levels and Conditions

Pattern description: The CS2 (CS:GO) P250 | Apep"s Curse finish features an elaborate blue base adorned with golden Egyptian serpent imagery. Distinct gold accents and intricate linework give each wear level its own character.

Pattern difference: The overall appearance remains consistent across pattern indexes, so major visual changes only depend on the float value.

Effect of float: The P250 | Apep"s Curse float value ranges from 0.00 to 0.50, allowing it to be found in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred conditions. As float increases, golden highlights become more faded and blue sections show increased wear, especially on edges and grip.

Skin Wear Levels Explained:
Factory New: The P250 | Apep"s Curse factory new looks pristine, with vibrant blue and sharp gold details dominating the finish. This wear level commands the highest prices and is most desirable for collectors.
Minimal Wear: The P250 | Apep"s Curse minimal wear retains much of the original vibrancy but might show slight edge fade, making it a popular balance between price and aesthetics.
Field-Tested: The P250 | Apep"s Curse Field Tested presents more noticeable abrasions and loss of luster, especially along high-contact areas, but the core design remains visually dynamic and affordable.
Well-Worn: The P250 | Apep"s Curse well worn condition shows significant fading and scratching, giving the weapon a battle-hardened look suitable for players who appreciate worn-in aesthetics at a reduced price.
Battle-Scarred: The P250 | Apep"s Curse Battle Scarred finish has heavily faded gold and blue, with scratches dominating the surface. It's the cheapest option and appeals to those valuing character over perfection.
StatTrak™ versions: The P250 | Apep"s Curse StatTrak is available for every wear level. StatTrak versions track confirmed kills and fetch higher prices due to their added utility and rarity. Collectors prize high-stat and StatTrak variants, especially Factory New or Minimal Wear float values. In all, float value, wear level, and StatTrak status are the primary influences on price and desirability.

P250 | Apep's Curse Price & Market Value
