The History of the P2000 | Imperial Dragon in CS2 (CS:GO)

The P2000 | Imperial Dragon in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed by artist "kosear" and was introduced as part of the Gamma Case during Operation Wildfire on June 15, 2016. Its unique, Asian-inspired artwork, featuring a bold golden-red dragon, quickly caught the eye of both casual players and skin collectors alike.

During its early days in CS:GO, the skin gained traction through YouTube showcases, popularization by streamers, and appearances during CS:GO Majors where iconic players occasionally sported it on stage. Its detailed finish and affordable price relative to other flashy pistol skins made it an accessible and popular choice. The community buzz peaked during Gamma Case unboxings and major tournament streams, helping it rise to fame.

With the transition into CS2, the CS2 (CS:GO) P2000 | Imperial Dragon retained its popularity, benefiting from the game's enhanced lighting and graphics that make its deep colors and art pop more than ever. While never as rare as some ultra-premium pistol skins, its legacy and vibrant look ensure it remains one of the most respected and frequently seen P2000 finishes in both casual and professional play.

How Rare Is the P2000 | Imperial Dragon?

The P2000 | Imperial Dragon in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as a Classified rarity skin, making it one of the rarer pistol drops from the Gamma Case. The CS2 (CS:GO) P2000 | Imperial Dragon is only obtainable through Gamma Case openings and is not available in the standard drop pool, which has a direct impact on its current supply and scarcity.

Rarity of P2000 | Imperial Dragon: The rarity means the odds of unboxing are significantly lower compared to more common skins, and there is no Souvenir version available. With many Gamma Cases already opened since release, fresh supply relies mostly on new case operations or market trading, which further sustains its scarcity.

This skin enjoys consistent popularity, frequently appearing in trade-ups and inventory showcases owing to its unique artwork. As a result, it continues to see high demand among both new and veteran players, maintaining strong value relative to other P2000 skins.

Pattern difference

Effect of float
The P2000 | Imperial Dragon float value spans from 0.00 to 1.00, making every wear level possible. As the float increases, visible wear appears mainly around edges and grip.

Factory New versions have sharp, undamaged colors and maximum visual appeal—these are the most expensive, often sought by collectors.

Minimal Wear offers nearly pristine artwork, with only minor abrasions, making it a budget-friendly alternative to Factory New.

Field-Tested will show light wear on high-friction spots, but the dragon motif remains striking, offering a good balance of price and appearance.

Well-Worn demonstrates increased scratches and faded sections, especially on the grip and barrel, yet the overall finish remains recognizable.

Battle-Scarred P2000 | Imperial Dragon appears heavily distressed, with significant fading and scratches, catering to those who enjoy a worn aesthetic or want the cheapest option.

StatTrak™ variants are highly sought after, recording kill counts and commanding premium prices across all wear levels. P2000 | Imperial Dragon StatTrak versions, especially in Factory New and Minimal Wear, can be considerably pricier.

Each condition and StatTrak version offers different price points, with lower float values (closer to Factory New) always getting a premium. The consistent pattern and vibrant P2000 | Imperial Dragon finish ensure universal appeal.
