The History of the P2000 | Amber Fade in CS2 (CS:GO)

The P2000 | Amber Fade in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed by the Valve art team and first introduced to players in 2014 through The Arms Deal 3 Collection. Initially, the skin showcased vivid metallic fades with smooth transitions from deep amber to light gold and green, capturing the admiration of the CS2 (CS:GO) community for its premium aesthetic and accessible price. It quickly rose to prominence during various CS:GO Majors, where fans witnessed pro players equipping the skin in high-stakes tournament matches. Community excitement spiked during the initial release and key esports events, causing a surge in demand among both casual players and collectors. The transition into Counter-Strike 2 preserved all its signature features, and the P2000 | Amber Fade remains a favorite thanks to its blend of nostalgia and fresh polish in CS2. Its enduring popularity is further strengthened by regular appearances in player inventories and the trading market, underscoring its lasting legacy within the Counter-Strike franchise.

How Rare Is the P2000 | Amber Fade?

The rarity of P2000 | Amber Fade in CS2 (CS:GO) falls under the Restricted grade, recognized for its unique fade finish. Originally, players could obtain the CS2 (CS:GO) P2000 | Amber Fade from The Arms Deal 3 Collection, found in specific drop pools and souvenir packages, but it is no longer available in the active drop pool today, increasing its scarcity. The probability of unboxing the skin from the original cases was low due to its mid-tier rarity, and there is no official Souvenir P2000 | Amber Fade version, making rare Mint conditions and StatTrak models particularly valuable. Its enduring popularity keeps prices stable and sought-after, with supply dwindling as time passes.

P2000 | Amber Fade Wear Levels and Conditions

Pattern description: The P2000 | Amber Fade finish features an elegant gradient, shifting from golden amber at the slide to greenish accents and metallic lemon hues. Its signature fade pattern is consistent across all wear levels but is affected by abrasions and scratches as float values increase.

Pattern difference: While the fade is generally uniform, minor differences in color saturation and placement can occur depending on the pattern index, making top-tier patterns more desirable.

Effect of float: The P2000 | Amber Fade float value ranges between 0.00 and 0.40, allowing Factory New, Minimal Wear, and Field-Tested versions. There are no Well-Worn or Battle-Scarred variants by default, which preserves its aesthetic appeal.

P2000 | Amber Fade Factory New: This is the most valuable and pristine, with a float value between 0.00 and 0.07. It commands the highest price, with minimal visible wear, vibrant color transitions, and is preferred by collectors.

P2000 | Amber Fade Minimal Wear: Ranges from 0.07 to 0.15 float value. Nearly as visually appealing as Factory New, small abrasions may start to appear but the fade remains crisp. Prices are slightly lower than Factory New.

P2000 | Amber Fade Field-Tested: Float values from 0.15 to 0.40. More signs of use, with minor dulling and subtle scratches. Still maintains the skin's distinct look, making it a popular choice for budget collectors.

P2000 | Amber Fade Well Worn & Battle Scarred: Officially, these wear levels (float values above 0.40) are not possible for the Amber Fade, which boosts the minimum value and clarity of all available skins.

P2000 | Amber Fade StatTrak™: The StatTrak version, which tracks kills, increases desirability and market value. StatTrak options exist for Factory New, Minimal Wear, and Field-Tested versions, often commanding significant premiums.

P2000 | Amber Fade finish: All Amber Fade skins feature the trademark fade, but collectors will pay more for those with especially vibrant or high-coverage fades, depending on the pattern index.
