The History of the Negev | Terrain in CS2 (CS:GO)

The Negev | Terrain in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed by Valve and introduced to the game as part of the 2014 "Operation Vanguard" update, specifically within the Operation Vanguard Weapon Case. Recognized for its military topographic brushstroke pattern, this skin quickly became a staple for players who enjoyed operating the Negev in both casual and ranked matches. Its inclusion in Operation Vanguard helped the CS2 (CS:GO) Negev | Terrain gain attention during the CS:GO Majors, where players favored it for its bold, tactical-inspired finish.

Throughout CS:GO's history, the Terrain generated moderate community buzz, particularly among collectors and budget-conscious players building themed camo weapon sets. It remained a steady, affordable option when new collections were released, prompting brief surges of popularity and discussion on skin forums.

Upon Counter-Strike 2's release and the migration of players to CS2, the Negev | Terrain maintained its standing as an accessible and visually appealing option. Its availability in trade-ups and established presence across all wear grades have reinforced its ongoing appeal. As such, the skin is now a staple for both casual and dedicated CS2 collectors.

How Rare Is the Negev | Terrain?

The Negev | Terrain in CS2 (CS:GO) is a Mil-Spec (blue) rarity skin that was originally found in the Operation Vanguard Weapon Case. As a Mil-Spec item, it is relatively common compared to Restricted or Classified skins. The CS2 (CS:GO) Negev | Terrain remains accessible on the Steam Market and trading platforms, since it was not removed from the drop pool following the end of Operation Vanguard, thanks to its inclusion in trade-up contracts.

The Rarity of Negev | Terrain means the unboxing chance is around 79.92% from its original case, making it one of the more likely finds. However, with the discontinuation of the Vanguard case drops, the supply is slowly stabilizing and prices remain modest. There is no Souvenir version for Negev | Terrain, so there are no odds or rarity boosts from tournament drops.

Despite its commonality, this skin retains a loyal following due to its design and affordability, ensuring steady popularity among casual players and collectors.

Negev | Terrain Wear Levels and Conditions

Pattern description:
The Negev | Terrain finish features a camo pattern in olive-green hues, adorned with terrain map-inspired lines, giving it a militaristic look. There is minimal pattern variance between individual skins, so most floats look very similar.

Effect of float:
The Negev | Terrain float value ranges from 0.00 to 0.50, making the skin available in all wear levels: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred. Wear primarily affects the edges and central body of the skin, with scratches and fading becoming more pronounced as the float increases.

Factory New: The Negev | Terrain factory new is highly sought after due to its pristine, sharp camo lines and little-to-no visible wear. Priced slightly higher than other conditions, it is favored by collectors seeking the cleanest look.

Minimal Wear: Negev | Terrain minimal wear retains much of the factory sharpness but may exhibit light scratches on high-contact areas. It is more affordable and widely available.

Field-Tested: The Negev | Terrain Field Tested shows moderate wear, with noticeable fades and dull spots. This is often the most budget-friendly version.

Well-Worn: Negev | Terrain well worn features significant abrasions with the camo pattern visibly faded. Priced lower, it is usually sought by players who do not prioritize looks.

Battle-Scarred: The Negev | Terrain Battle Scarred is covered in heavy wear, with broad areas of the skin desaturated and pattern details obscured.

StatTrak™ versions: All wear levels of the skin are available in Negev | Terrain StatTrak versions, which track kills and usually sell for a premium compared to their regular counterparts.

Skin Features: With universal availability, the Negev | Terrain finish is an accessible yet distinctive pick for Negev fans. Its float value spectrum offers a wide array of looks, ensuring there is an option for every type of collector.

Negev | Terrain Price & Market Value

The Negev | Terrain in CS2 (CS:GO) stands out as one of the most affordable Negev skins, making it accessible for virtually any player. The Negev | Terrain price varies according to its wear level and whether it is a StatTrak™ variant.

For the regular version, Negev | Terrain price ranges from approximately $0.07 for Battle-Scarred up to $0.25 for Factory New on the Steam Community Market. Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, and Well-Worn versions price between $0.09 to $0.20. StatTrak versions command slightly higher prices: StatTrak Factory New might fetch $0.80, while other StatTrak wear levels range from $0.30 to $0.70.

There is no Souvenir version available, so pricing is unaffected by pro signatures. Factors influencing Negev | Terrain price include float value, rare stickers, and the presence of StatTrak. Since the supply remains steady but is no longer replenished by active drop pools, prices could trend upward very gradually over time.

How much is the Negev | Terrain? It is one of the cheapest Negev skins in CS2.

Is Negev | Terrain worth buying? Absolutely, for those seeking a unique military-style skin without breaking the bank, this skin represents tremendous value.
