The History of the MP9 | Nexus in CS2 (CS:GO)

The MP9 | Nexus in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed by community artist kiku, who is known for their creative and vibrant weapon finishes. The skin was originally introduced to the game as part of The 2021 Mirage Collection, released during Operation Riptide in September 2021.

Its pixelated blue and yellow design paid perfect tribute to digital culture and became an immediate fan favorite. Initially, it was available through the Operation Riptide drops, making it a sought-after skin for both casual players and hardcore collectors. The skin gained rapid popularity during CS:GO Majors, especially whenever matches were played on Mirage — sparking community hype and fueling price increases on the Steam Market.

With the transition of CS:GO into Counter-Strike 2, the skin's vivid colors and sharp geometric pattern have become even more visually striking, thanks to CS2's upgraded graphics engine. As a result, the CS2 (CS:GO) MP9 | Nexus continues to be in high demand, bridging legacy status for veteran collectors while capturing the attention of new players in the modern era of Counter-Strike.

How Rare Is the MP9 | Nexus?

The MP9 | Nexus in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as a Restricted skin, which places it in the mid-tier rarity category. The CS2 (CS:GO) MP9 | Nexus could only be obtained from The 2021 Mirage Collection package, a collection released during Operation Riptide and now no longer available directly in-game. This limited drop pool increases the skin's rarity and value on the market.

Rarity of MP9 | Nexus is especially notable because there is no Souvenir version available, making regular and StatTrak™ variants even more desirable. The odds of obtaining the skin from the original collection package were relatively low, as the Restricted tier sits above the common Industrial and Mil-Spec grades. The MP9 | Nexus remains moderately popular, with ongoing demand among traders and skin aficionados, but the supply is now fixed due to the collection's removal, cementing its standing as a collectible item.

MP9 | Nexus Wear Levels and Conditions

Pattern description
The MP9 | Nexus finish features a vibrant digital pixel pattern in blue, yellow, and cyan tones covering the SMG's entire frame. This modern, high-energy aesthetic is both bold and easily recognizable.

Pattern difference
There is no significant pattern variation for the MP9 | Nexus; all skins have similar pixel placements.

Effect of float
The MP9 | Nexus float value ranges from 0.00 to 0.50, making it available in all wear conditions. The float value affects the amount of visible wear—higher floats show more abrasions, particularly on the body and magwell.

MP9 | Nexus Factory New
Factory New (0.00–0.07 float) features the brightest colors and a pristine, minimal-wear appearance. Prices are noticeably higher for these versions, especially with a desirable float value close to 0.00.

MP9 | Nexus Minimal Wear
Minimal Wear (0.07–0.15 float) maintains most of its vivid colors, with only slight abrasions around the edges. Slightly more affordable than Factory New, but still prized for its clean presentation.

MP9 | Nexus Field-Tested
Field-Tested (0.15–0.38 float) versions show moderate wear, including duller hues and visible edge fades. This variant is an affordable option for those seeking the skin's style without the higher price tag.

MP9 | Nexus Well Worn
Well-Worn (0.38–0.45 float) sees much of the finish dulled and more abrasions, especially on high-contact surfaces. These offer budget-friendly prices, though at the cost of significant visual wear.

MP9 | Nexus Battle Scarred
Battle Scarred (0.45–0.50 float) displays heavy fading and scratches, with muted colors. This is the most affordable but least visually intact version.

MP9 | Nexus StatTrak
StatTrak™ versions count eliminations and come in all wear levels. MP9 | Nexus StatTrak variants are highly desired and usually cost significantly more, especially in Factory New or Minimal Wear, due to their enhanced appeal and tracking feature.

MP9 | Nexus Price & Market Value

The MP9 | Nexus in CS2 (CS:GO) exhibits a broad price range based on wear level, float value, and StatTrak™ status. As of mid-2024, the CS2 (CS:GO) MP9 | Nexus price is:

- MP9 | Nexus Factory New: $45–$60
- MP9 | Nexus Minimal Wear: $30–$40
- MP9 | Nexus Field-Tested: $20–$28
- MP9 | Nexus Well Worn: $16–$22
- MP9 | Nexus Battle Scarred: $11–$17

StatTrak™ versions are much more expensive, with MP9 | Nexus price for StatTrak Factory New reaching $110+, and other wear levels scaling accordingly.

Souvenir MP9 | Nexus price does not exist, as there are currently no souvenir versions. Factors like low float value and rare stickers can also elevate the MP9 | Nexus price on the community market. How much is the MP9 | Nexus? The answer depends heavily on wear, StatTrak, and float. Is MP9 | Nexus worth buying? For collectors and players, its combination of rarity, visual appeal, and rising value makes it an excellent pick.

What Is the Souvenir MP9 | Nexus

There is no Souvenir version of MP9 | Nexus in CS2 (CS:GO).
