The History of the MP9 | Mount Fuji in CS2 (CS:GO)

The MP9 | Mount Fuji in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed by community artist SLIMEface and introduced as part of The 2021 Mirage Collection, released in September 2021 during Operation Riptide. The skin draws its visual inspiration from the serene, snow-capped Mount Fuji against radiant pink cherry blossoms, celebrating Japan's natural beauty with a contemporary, digital twist. Upon its debut, the CS2 (CS:GO) MP9 | Mount Fuji quickly garnered attention due to its eye-catching color palette and intricate details. During the later CS:GO Majors, players and streamers highlighted this skin in loadouts, contributing to its recognition and desirability, particularly among those who valued signal pieces and regional-themed collections. Community hype surged during seasonal sales and the launch period, when the skin's reflective qualities and artful approach were front-and-center in showcases and inventory spotlights. With the transition from CS:GO into CS2, the MP9 | Mount Fuji retained and even expanded its popularity, benefiting from improved graphics and material finishes in the Source 2 engine, making the spectacular artwork more vivid and immersive than ever. Today, it remains a sought-after item for both its cultural flair and proven appeal among professionals and casual players alike.

How Rare Is the MP9 | Mount Fuji?

The MP9 | Mount Fuji in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as a Classified rarity skin, making it one of the more desirable and visually impressive MP9 finishes. The CS2 (CS:GO) MP9 | Mount Fuji is available exclusively from The 2021 Mirage Collection and cannot be found in standard cases, which significantly limits its supply and contributes to its rising value among dedicated collectors. As it is not part of the active drop pool, the skin’s rarity increases over time, and there are no souvenir versions available. The probability of unboxing this skin from the Mirage collection packages is extremely low, and with each opening, the remaining supply dwindles. Despite these odds, the skin enjoys robust popularity and maintains a strong trading volume due to its appealing visuals and high collectibility factor.

Pattern description
The MP9 | Mount Fuji finish showcases Mount Fuji bathed in gentle blues and whites, accented by vivid, magenta cherry blossoms across the weapon’s body. The design remains largely consistent across patterns, ensuring a recognizable look regardless of float.

Effect of float
The MP9 | Mount Fuji float value ranges from 0.00 to 0.50, granting access to all conditions from Factory New to Battle-Scarred. Higher float introduces moderate wear, visible as scratches or fading on the scenic artwork.

Factory New
The MP9 | Mount Fuji factory new version presents sharp details, bright colors, and no visible wear. MP9 | Mount Fuji finish at this level is prized by collectors and fetches the highest market price.

Minimal Wear
With the MP9 | Mount Fuji minimal wear grade, the skin displays only minor abrasions, typically around the edges and handguard. It offers exceptional value for those seeking vibrant appearance at a moderate price.

Field-Tested
MP9 | Mount Fuji Field Tested skins retain much of the iconic design but with visible wear, especially towards the muzzle and body, reducing shine yet still attractive in-game.

Well-Worn
The MP9 | Mount Fuji well worn version shows pronounced scratches and faded colors, especially affecting the cherry blossoms and background details. The skin remains popular as a budget-friendly, playable choice.

Battle-Scarred
MP9 | Mount Fuji Battle Scarred has heavy abrasions and significant color loss, with the base design still distinguishable but vastly muted. It offers one of the lowest price points and appeals to players seeking affordability.
