The History of the MP9 | Bulldozer in CS2 (CS:GO)

The MP9 | Bulldozer in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed by Valve’s in-house art team and made its first appearance as part of the Italy Collection on August 14, 2013, when Counter-Strike: Global Offensive introduced the Arms Deal update. Its recognizable yellow finish was inspired by heavy construction machinery, giving it a unique industrial look that set it apart from other SMG skins. Initially, the Bulldozer could be unboxed from the Italy Collection, and it quickly gained popularity—especially during various CS:GO Majors, where its visibility in pro matches created significant community hype. At its peak, the MP9 | Bulldozer was regularly seen in tournament play, boosting its prestige among fans and professional players alike. With the transition of CS:GO to Counter-Strike 2, the skin retained its iconic status and became even more sought after, preserving its historic reputation. Today, the CS2 (CS:GO) MP9 | Bulldozer remains a staple in rare collections, frequently discussed on forums, and desired by both new and veteran players for its history and bold aesthetic.

How Rare Is the MP9 | Bulldozer?

The MP9 | Bulldozer in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as a Restricted SMG skin and was originally obtainable through the Italy Collection. Unlike typical case drops, this collection could only be received as a random drop or during special events, making it less common compared to case-based skins. The collection was eventually removed from active drop pools, drastically reducing the number in circulation and increasing the skin’s rarity. The CS2 (CS:GO) MP9 | Bulldozer is well-liked for its vivid appearance, but because it is rarely available in the marketplace, its unboxing odds are extremely low. There is no official Souvenir version of the skin, making standard versions the primary collector’s item. The rarity of MP9 | Bulldozer, combined with its supply constraints and popularity, solidifies its status as one of the more exclusive MP9 skins in Counter-Strike 2.

MP9 | Bulldozer Wear Levels and Conditions

Pattern description:
The MP9 | Bulldozer finish is characterized by its striking, bright yellow body — reminiscent of heavy-duty construction vehicles — with a contrasting black handle and magazine.
Pattern difference:
There is no significant variation in the MP9 | Bulldozer finish from pattern index, ensuring consistency across all wears.
Effect of float:
The MP9 | Bulldozer float value ranges from 0.06 to 0.80, which means it is available in all five wear levels: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred. As the float value increases, significant abrasions appear mostly on the body, revealing more black base metal.
Factory New: MP9 | Bulldozer factory new skins are highly prized for their pristine yellow finish and almost no wear—these are the most expensive and hardest to obtain.
Minimal Wear: The MP9 | Bulldozer minimal wear preserves most of its vivid color, showing only faint scratches along the edges, making it a popular choice for collectors looking for value.
Field-Tested: MP9 | Bulldozer Field Tested begins to display visible wear and slightly more faded yellow, which results in a more affordable price point.
Well-Worn: MP9 | Bulldozer well worn versions have extensive scratches and visible darkened areas, appealing to those who like a rugged, battle-used look but at a lower price.
Battle-Scarred: MP9 | Bulldozer Battle Scarred shows the most heavy wear—large portions of paint chipped off with lots of exposed black, which can be the most economical option.
StatTrak™ versions:
The MP9 | Bulldozer StatTrak skin counters your kills and is available at all wear levels, commanding a premium—especially for Factory New and Minimal Wear variants. As with most StatTrak items, rarity and status drive up its value further.
In summary, prices and desirability rise sharply the closer you get to Factory New and StatTrak™, with float value being a critical factor for both visual appeal and market price.
