The History of the MP7 | Whiteout in CS2 (CS:GO)

The MP7 | Whiteout in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed by the talented Valve art team and introduced as part of the 2021 Train Collection, released with Operation Riptide in September 2021. Its pure white finish instantly made it stand out from the crowd, quickly becoming the signature clean skin for the MP7. This minimalist design echoed the popularity of the larger Whiteout and Blackout series in the Counter-Strike universe.

The skin gained serious traction among players and collectors, especially as CS:GO Majors brought more attention to rare and visually distinctive skins. Community hype intensified during the initial months after its release, as demand soared and the supply was limited to drops from the 2021 Train Collection. The crisp white look distinguished it during pro matches and top-tier streams, cementing its reputation among elite players.

The transition into CS2 was seamless for the CS2 (CS:GO) MP7 | Whiteout, with the upgraded engine further emphasizing its visual clarity and appeal. Its popularity has only increased as players seek unique, high-contrast skins to complement new agents and gloves. The skin remains highly coveted for its collectibility, visibility in play, and role as a must-have for completionists and style-focused players.

How Rare Is the MP7 | Whiteout?

The MP7 | Whiteout in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as a Classified (pink) rarity skin, making it one of the harder MP7 skins to obtain. It is exclusively available from the 2021 Train Collection, which is not a standard case drop but rather obtainable only through the Operation Riptide rewards. When the operation ended, this collection was removed from active drop pools, making the CS2 (CS:GO) MP7 | Whiteout substantially scarcer.

Rarity of MP7 | Whiteout is further accentuated by its relatively low drop rate from Train Collection packages, and with no Souvenir version available, its supply remains highly restricted. The probability of unboxing one is notably low compared to most MP7 skins, contributing to its legendary status. Its unique all-white finish and high visibility have kept it popular, rivaling or surpassing older skins in desirability. As of now, it is considered one of the more difficult skins to acquire on the market.

MP7 | Whiteout Wear Levels and Conditions

Pattern description:
The MP7 | Whiteout finish covers the entire body of the SMG in a pure, glossy white paint. This uniform design emphasizes minimalism, with no extraneous graphics, making scratches and wear highly visible.

Pattern difference:
Unlike some skins, the appearance of MP7 | Whiteout in CS2 (CS:GO) does not vary due to the pattern seed. Each skin looks the same, and the only significant difference is the level of wear, which is shown with increasingly prominent scratches.

Effect of float:
The MP7 | Whiteout float value ranges from 0.06 to 0.80, allowing the skin to come in all five wear levels—but float values towards the lower end are particularly rare and sought after, especially in Factory New condition, as abrasions quickly become visible even with minimal wear.

MP7 | Whiteout Factory New:
This is the cleanest version, with a very subtle hint of edge wear. MP7 | Whiteout Factory New carries a premium price due to its near-pristine appearance and is in high demand among collectors.

MP7 | Whiteout Minimal Wear:
Slight abrasions appear at key edges; the MP7 | Whiteout minimal wear offers a good balance between aesthetic and affordability, but visible wear begins to show on flatter surfaces.

MP7 | Whiteout Field Tested:
Scratches and scrapes become more pronounced. MP7 | Whiteout Field Tested is popular among budget-conscious buyers seeking the iconic look at a lower price.

MP7 | Whiteout Well Worn:
Noticeable loss of the white finish, especially on high-touch areas; MP7 | Whiteout well worn skins are generally less desirable but may appeal for a rugged or 'battle-hardened' look.

MP7 | Whiteout Battle-Scarred:
The most worn with heavy scratches and patches of missing paint—MP7 | Whiteout Battle Scarred is the cheapest but has the lowest visual fidelity.

MP7 | Whiteout StatTrak:
All wear levels can come with the MP7 | Whiteout StatTrak feature, tracking eliminations. StatTrak versions command a premium due to both utility and rarity, especially in lower floats. MP7 | Whiteout StatTrak Factory New and Minimal Wear versions are particularly rare and collectible.

Skin Features:
The MP7 | Whiteout finish is a showcase for minimalism and rarity. It does not have unique pattern seeds, making float value the sole driver of condition, price, and desirability.

MP7 | Whiteout Price & Market Value

MP7 | Whiteout price varies widely depending on wear and StatTrak feature. Factory New versions typically cost between $220 and $300 USD, while Minimal Wear costs around $120–$170. Field-Tested versions go for $80–$120, Well-Worn for $60–$90, and Battle-Scarred can be found for $40–$70.

How much is the MP7 | Whiteout Souvenir edition? There is currently no Souvenir version available, so signed versions with pro player stickers can fluctuate, but alone, these do not carry the same prestige as true Souvenir skins in the market.

The CS2 (CS:GO) MP7 | Whiteout price is influenced by its float value, desirability of low-float (Factory New) versions, and presence of rare or themed stickers. StatTrak editions boost MP7 | Whiteout price further, sometimes up to 2x base value. Price trends show steady demand due to its visual appeal and collector popularity.

Is MP7 | Whiteout worth buying? For collectors seeking a rare, clean look, and for players who appreciate minimalism, it is an excellent investment with consistently high demand and low supply.
