The History of the MP7 | Sunbaked in CS2 (CS:GO)

The MP7 | Sunbaked skin was designed by the community contributor MultiH and was introduced to the game with the release of The 2021 Mirage Collection during Operation Broken Fang on December 3, 2020. Its appearance captures the rich essence of desert landscapes, combining golden beige hues with a subtle, sand-like finish across the body of the weapon.

The MP7 | Sunbaked in CS2 (CS:GO) gathered attention during Operation Broken Fang and quickly found its way into the inventories of both casual and pro players. While it didn"t dominate CS:GO Majors as a signature showpiece, the skin nonetheless benefited from the community hype surrounding its release and the popularity of the Mirage Collection. As more players discovered The 2021 Mirage Collection, the skin’s accessibility and vibrant style led to a consistent, loyal following among users.

With the transition into CS2 (CS:GO) MP7 | Sunbaked maintained its strong visual impact and remains a favored choice for many. Its importance lies in its accessibility, unique art direction, and its place in a collection beloved for both gameplay and collector value.

How Rare Is the MP7 | Sunbaked?

The MP7 | Sunbaked in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as an Industrial Grade (Light Blue) skin. It is exclusively obtainable from The 2021 Mirage Collection, primarily through opening souvenir packages connected with the collection, such as those dropped during Major tournament matches.

The CS2 (CS:GO) MP7 | Sunbaked has not been removed from the drop pool, so it remains readily available, though its Industrial Grade rarity means it is one of the more common skins in the collection. This accessibility results in higher supply and generally lower prices when compared to rarer skins.

Rarity of MP7 | Sunbaked is further influenced by the probability of unboxing a Souvenir version, which is limited to Mirage souvenir packages from official CS:GO Majors. Souvenir versions are harder to obtain and thus hold more value, especially when adorned with pro player autographs. Despite its commonality, the skin stays popular among those looking for a unique, sun-infused aesthetic for their inventory.

MP7 | Sunbaked Wear Levels and Conditions

Pattern description
The MP7 | Sunbaked finish features a gleaming, sand-inspired desert motif that covers the body of the weapon, evoking the feeling of sun-baked landscapes. While the finish itself stays largely consistent, slight variations in the sand pattern may occur due to the pattern index.

Pattern difference
Although there are very subtle shifts in the sand's appearance and gold distribution based on pattern index, these are usually minimal and do not create large visual differences between versions.

Effect of float
The MP7 | Sunbaked float value ranges from 0.00 to 0.50, making it available in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred conditions. As the float increases, visible abrasions and wear marks appear, especially on exposed edges.

Skin Features
This skin can be found in both standard and StatTrak™ versions, with no significant differences in the pattern. StatTrak™ versions add a digital kill counter and tend to be more valuable.

MP7 | Sunbaked factory new: This condition presents the cleanest and brightest gold finish, with minimal visible wear. MP7 | Sunbaked factory new commands the highest price, appealing particularly to collectors.

MP7 | Sunbaked minimal wear: Slight surface abrasions start to appear, mostly on raised areas, but the skin still looks impressive and clean. MP7 | Sunbaked minimal wear is slightly less expensive than FN but still desirable.

MP7 | Sunbaked Field Tested: Noticeable wear marks and dulling of the gold finish appear, especially around the grip and magazine. Prices are typically lower, and the skin caters to budget-focused players.

MP7 | Sunbaked well worn: Widespread abrasions and faded colors define this wear level. MP7 | Sunbaked well worn offers an even more weathered look for a lower price.

MP7 | Sunbaked Battle Scarred: The finish becomes visibly scratched and dull, with the desert pattern barely intact. MP7 | Sunbaked Battle Scarred is the most affordable and rugged-looking option.

MP7 | Sunbaked StatTrak: Available across all wear levels, these versions feature a kill counter and attract a premium price. A StatTrak can substantially increase the value of an otherwise cheap skin.

All in all, the MP7 | Sunbaked finish withstands wear gracefully, maintaining its thematic desert style across conditions. Collectors and players can choose based on the preferred look and budget, with the MP7 | Sunbaked float value providing additional nuances to each skin’s appearance.

MP7 | Sunbaked Price & Market Value

The MP7 | Sunbaked price remains budget-friendly, making it an accessible choice for many players in the CS2 community. MP7 | Sunbaked in CS2 (CS:GO) generally ranges in price from about $0.10 to $0.30 USD for Factory New, with Minimal Wear and Field-Tested versions often selling for $0.08 to $0.18 USD on the Steam Community Market.

Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred versions typically cost even less, sometimes dipping below $0.08 USD. StatTrak™ variants can fetch slightly higher prices—Factory New StatTrak™ MP7 | Sunbaked price may reach $0.80 or more, while lower condition StatTrak™ versions remain under $0.40 USD.

The CS2 (CS:GO) MP7 | Sunbaked doesn"t have a souvenir version, so there’s no price spike related to pro player autographs or tournament drops. Instead, MP7 | Sunbaked price is mainly influenced by float value, StatTrak technology, and the presence of desirable stickers. How much is the MP7 | Sunbaked? It remains one of the most affordable skins—ideal for budget inventories or collectors seeking to complete the Mirage Collection.

Is MP7 | Sunbaked worth buying? For its unique look and low price point, it offers exceptional value, especially for newcomers or those seeking an attractive SMG skin without spending much.
