The History of the MP7 | Cirrus in CS2 (CS:GO)

The MP7 | Cirrus in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed by popular workshop contributor Strenson. It made its first appearance in the game on April 19, 2017, as part of the "Spectrum Case" update. As a Classified tier skin, it quickly caught the community's eye with its dynamic yet subtle color palette, unlike the more vivid or aggressive SMG skins. Over the years, MP7 | Cirrus gained mild notoriety during various CS:GO Majors as professional players and streamers showcased it, often highlighting its clean design and affordable price point.

Between 2018 and 2020, community hype briefly surged for the MP7 | Cirrus thanks to its addition in several player-created highlight reels, and its status as a trade-up component for other high-tier skins. This further bolstered its presence in the community marketplace, making it a staple for many inventory builders and traders.

With the transition from CS:GO to CS2, the skin retained its popularity due to the improved lighting and graphics engine, which made its color gradients and cloud motifs even more visually impressive. Today, the CS2 (CS:GO) MP7 | Cirrus remains a well-loved option for enthusiasts of modern, minimalist Counter-Strike 2 skins.

How Rare Is the MP7 | Cirrus?

The Rarity of MP7 | Cirrus is Classified (Pink), making it a rare drop. MP7 | Cirrus in CS2 (CS:GO) can only be obtained from the "Spectrum Case" and "Spectrum 2 Case". Since it's still available in these cases, it has not been removed from the drop pool, so its overall supply is steady. However, unboxing a Classified SMG, especially the Cirrus, remains statistically challenging with an estimated drop chance of less than 3.2% per case opening for the entire Classified tier.

The CS2 (CS:GO) MP7 | Cirrus does not have a Souvenir version, so Souvenir odds do not apply. Despite not being an ultra-rare skin, its popularity keeps it in moderate demand, especially among players looking to enhance their SMG loadout with an appealing, modern finish.

MP7 | Cirrus Wear Levels and Conditions

Pattern description:
The MP7 | Cirrus finish features a swirling cloud design with subtle blue and gray tones, creating the illusion of mist and movement across the weapon. The pattern remains mostly consistent across different float values, with only minor cosmetic variations.

Pattern difference:
The MP7 | Cirrus float value ranges from 0.00 to 0.50, allowing it to drop in all five standard wear levels but not Factory New Statrak in every float.

Effect of float:
The float value determines visible wear. Lower floats (closer to 0.00) look almost pristine, while higher floats (towards 0.50) show scratches, especially on the weapon's edges.

Skin features:
The CS2 (CS:GO) MP7 | Cirrus is available in standard and StatTrak™ versions, increasing the skin’s exclusivity.

Skin wear levels explained:
MP7 | Cirrus Factory New: Features flawless clouds and vibrant colors, commanding the highest price due to its perfect condition.
MP7 | Cirrus Minimal Wear: Near-pristine with only slight abrasions on close inspection, still highly desirable and slightly more affordable.
MP7 | Cirrus Field Tested: Shows minor wear along sharp edges, but generally maintains a clean look with a fair price drop.
MP7 | Cirrus Well Worn: Noticeable scratches and muted colors, often chosen for budget inventories.
MP7 | Cirrus Battle Scarred: Most worn version, with faded finish and visible abrasions, making it the least expensive and often picked by value-focused players.
MP7 | Cirrus StatTrak: Tracks kills for extra prestige; each wear level comes in its own StatTrak variant, typically fetching a premium over non-StatTrak skins due to their rarity and collector appeal.

MP7 | Cirrus Price & Market Value

If you're curious about MP7 | Cirrus price, the value largely depends on its condition and whether it's a StatTrak™ edition. As of 2024, MP7 | Cirrus price on the Steam Community Market ranges from $0.30 (Battle-Scarred) to about $2.20 (Factory New). MP7 | Cirrus price for the StatTrak version starts around $1.10 (Battle-Scarred) and can reach $7+ for Factory New StatTrak™.

How much is the MP7 | Cirrus souvenir? There is currently no Souvenir version for this skin in either CS:GO or CS2, so pricing for Souvenir editions or pro signature items is not applicable here.

Factors influencing value: A lower MP7 | Cirrus float value, StatTrak feature, and rare 4x sticker combinations can increase market price. Is MP7 | Cirrus worth buying? It's a budget-friendly skin with wide availability—great for anyone wanting a stylish MP7 upgrade without breaking the bank.
