The History of the MP5-SD | Necro Jr. in CS2 (CS:GO)

MP5-SD | Necro Jr. in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed by the community artist PTP, who is known for his vibrant and playful creations. It made its first appearance in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive as part of the CS20 Case, released on October 18, 2019, during the game’s 20th Anniversary event. The skin quickly caught the attention of the community with its comic-inspired depiction of an undead character in bold blues, greens, and pinks, making it a fan favorite. The fun and quirky style led to a surge in community hype, especially around major tournaments, where the skin was often seen in play and on stream. While it never reached the ultra-rare prestige of some high-end covert skins, its affordable cost, cheerful appeal, and consistent visibility made it widely used. As the game transitioned from CS:GO to CS2, the CS2 (CS:GO) MP5-SD | Necro Jr. retained its popularity, remaining a fixture in inventories and maintaining a strong following among skin collectors and everyday players alike.
