The History of the MAG-7 | SWAG-7 in CS2 (CS:GO)

MAG-7 | SWAG-7 in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed by the community artist, "Puffin." The skin first appeared as part of the Chroma 2 Case released on April 15, 2015, during CS:GO's prime years. Its playful, meme-inspired visuals, including the cheeky "SWAG-7" branding and lively purple aesthetics, quickly resonated with players and the community. MAG-7 | SWAG-7's rise to fame was propelled through major CS:GO tournaments, where it became synonymous with highlight shotgun plays and was often the skin of choice for both pros and streamers in clutch moments. It generated significant hype when users began showcasing it during Majors, becoming a favorite in frag-movie montages and meme compilations. The transition into CS2 was seamless, with the skin benefitting from Source 2's enhanced lighting and rendering, making the vivid colors pop even more. CS2 (CS:GO) MAG-7 | SWAG-7 continues to enjoy popularity as a standout budget option for casual and pro players, admired for its style and the lore it carries from CS:GO to CS2.

How Rare Is the MAG-7 | SWAG-7?

MAG-7 | SWAG-7 in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as a Mil-Spec (Blue) rarity skin, making it relatively common compared to more exclusive skins. The CS2 (CS:GO) MAG-7 | SWAG-7 drops from the Chroma 2 Case. As of now, it remains available from the case, so the supply is steady and not as restricted as skins removed from drop pools, ensuring accessibility for most players. The rarity of MAG-7 | SWAG-7 as a Mil-Spec grade means the chance of unboxing one is much higher than for Restricted, Classified, or Covert skins. There is no Souvenir version of this skin, so the odds are only linked to standard and StatTrak™ drops. Thanks to its meme value and vibrant look, the MAG-7 | SWAG-7 enjoys above-average popularity and is continuously seen in inventories of both casual players and content creators.
