The History of the MAG-7 | Seabird in CS2 (CS:GO)

The MAG-7 | Seabird in CS2 (CS:GO) was introduced as part of The 2021 Mirage Collection, debuting for the CS:GO and continuing its availability with the rollout of Counter-Strike 2. The skin was designed by Valve, drawing inspiration from maritime colors to represent the classic Mirage map setting. At its release, MAG-7 | Seabird was primarily obtainable through random drops related to Operation Broken Fang and international events. Although not the centerpiece of most Majors, it gained positive attention during Mirage map matches, eventually earning community hype for its vivid design and unique color scheme. As CS2 arrived, the CS2 (CS:GO) MAG-7 | Seabird retained its popularity, with both veteran and new players appreciating its fresh, aquatic look. Although the skin hasn't been associated with any particular pro player highlight or signature clutch moment, it is respected among collectors for its representation of a major CS:GO era and its secured spot in the pool of Mirage-themed skins.

How Rare Is the MAG-7 | Seabird?

The MAG-7 | Seabird in CS2 (CS:GO) has an Industrial Grade rarity, making it one of the less common but still easily obtainable shotgun skins in its class. The CS2 (CS:GO) MAG-7 | Seabird is exclusively found in The 2021 Mirage Collection, which means it cannot be unboxed from standard weapon cases, nor does it have a Souvenir variant. This collection-based drop source affects the overall supply, as the item is primarily distributed during operations and potentially during events tied to the Mirage Collection. The rarity of MAG-7 | Seabird makes it more accessible than rare Covert skins, but limited drop windows and no case availability give it a moderate degree of exclusivity, especially in desirable wear levels. Given its status, it is popular especially among players looking for a clean and affordable Mirage-themed skin, with its consistent appearance helping it stay relevant in trading communities.

Skin Features and Wear Levels
MAG-7 | Seabird Factory New: This tier offers maximum color vibrancy and virtually no scratches, maintaining the full beauty of the Seabird finish. It typically commands the highest price bracket.
MAG-7 | Seabird Minimal Wear: Slightly reduced gloss, but most detail is preserved. Minor abrasions may appear on the handle and barrel, though they are barely noticeable.
MAG-7 | Seabird Field Tested: A few visible scratches and dulled colors on the grip and edges, reflected in a lower price compared to FN and MW. Still looks clean for budget-focused players.
MAG-7 | Seabird Well Worn: Noticeable wear with prominent scratches and decreased shine on the blue and white portions. While more affordable, much of the finish detail remains visible.
MAG-7 | Seabird Battle Scarred: Extensive abrasions with much of the original finish faded. The blue and yellow tones become muted, but the skin remains recognizable.
MAG-7 | Seabird StatTrak: Unfortunately, there is no StatTrak version available for the MAG-7 | Seabird in CS2 (CS:GO).
MAG-7 | Seabird float value is a significant factor, especially for collectors and skin flippers.
Overall, the MAG-7 | Seabird finish offers consistency regardless of wear, making each condition a viable option depending on preference and budget.
