The History of the MAG-7 | Justice in CS2 (CS:GO)

The MAG-7 | Justice in CS2 (CS:GO) was brought to life by the community designer "2Minds" and was officially introduced to the game on August 1, 2018, as part of the Horizon Case release. This weapon finish captivated players with its intricate Art Nouveau style, depicting the allegorical figure of Lady Justice. Quickly, the CS2 (CS:GO) MAG-7 | Justice garnered attention during popular tournaments and CS:GO Majors thanks to frequent use by pro players in high-stakes matches, making it a staple of competitive play.

Its initial release sparked community-wide excitement, with discussion forums and social media abuzz about its bold aesthetics. Moments of hype were particularly notable during the 2018 and 2019 Major events where its visual appeal stood out on broadcast streams. After transitioning into Counter-Strike 2, the MAG-7 | Justice maintained its popularity, continuing to be valued by both new and longtime fans of the series. Its legacy as an iconic shotgun skin has persisted, reaffirmed by the skin’s ability to bridge the legacy of CS:GO and the modern look and feel of CS2.

How Rare Is the MAG-7 | Justice?

The rarity of MAG-7 | Justice in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as "Covert," one of the highest rarity tiers, making it a rare and highly desirable shotgun skin. CS2 (CS:GO) MAG-7 | Justice can be unboxed exclusively from the Horizon Case, ensuring its supply remains limited. The Horizon Case is still available through the Steam Community Market, but as time passes, the number of fresh cases entering circulation dwindles, impacting overall supply.

The drop probability of receiving the MAG-7 | Justice is low, estimated at roughly 0.64% per case opening—typical for Covert skins. There is no Souvenir variant for this skin, so acquiring a stat-boosted or autographed version is not possible, further underscoring the rarity of MAG-7 | Justice. The skin’s visually stunning design also contributes to its market popularity, often making it a prized possession and a talking point among players and skin collectors.
