The History of the MAG-7 | Foresight in CS2 (CS:GO)

MAG-7 | Foresight in CS2 (CS:GO) was introduced to the game as part of the 2021 Mirage Collection, first released during Operation Broken Fang. Designed by Valve's in-house team, this skin immediately captivated players with its detailed electric patterns and neon-inspired visuals.
Its appearance history traces back to original releases of souvenir Mirage packages, elevating its desirability among fans. The CS2 (CS:GO) MAG-7 | Foresight rose to fame during CS:GO Majors as Mirage was one of the official tournament maps, which brought more visibility to the skin. Community hype reached its peak during large esports events when pro players wielded the Foresight in critical matches, making it a symbol of innovation and flair.
After the transition into CS2, the Foresight maintained its appeal, with enhanced graphics and lighting in the new engine further accentuating its visual impact. Its rarity and iconic look ensure that it's still a sought-after skin, both among newer audiences in CS2 and veteran collectors eager to retain a piece of CS:GO history.

How Rare Is the MAG-7 | Foresight?

MAG-7 | Foresight in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as a Restricted skin, available exclusively through the Mirage 2021 Collection package which was initially introduced during Operation Broken Fang. The CS2 (CS:GO) MAG-7 | Foresight can no longer be obtained through active drop pools, as Operation Broken Fang has concluded, further increasing its rarity and collector status. The odds of unboxing the MAG-7 | Foresight were aligned with other Restricted-tier skins from case drops, making the Rarity of MAG-7 | Foresight moderately rare but harder to obtain post-operation.
There is no Souvenir version of the MAG-7 | Foresight, and overall unboxing odds were approximately 15% for the Restricted tier when the collection was active. Its striking design and limited sourcing have ensured sustained popularity among players and collectors alike.
