The History of the MAG-7 | Firestarter in CS2 (CS:GO)

The MAG-7 | Firestarter in CS2 (CS:GO) was introduced as part of the Arms Deal Collection with the Arms Deal 3 update on December 18, 2013. The skin design comes from community artist EGO Death, who was inspired by explosive and intense themes, hence the prominent flame pattern that gives the MAG-7 | Firestarter its name. The skin rose in popularity rapidly, especially during several CS:GO Majors where shotgun plays became more significant on close-quarter maps. With notable in-game appearances and community videos highlighting impressive clutches and plays, the hype surrounding this skin grew, particularly during the mid-2010s. As the CS:GO scene evolved and transitioned into CS2, CS2 (CS:GO) MAG-7 | Firestarter retained its loyal fanbase and found a new generation of admirers. Its affordable price point and fiery design continue to keep it relevant, making it a consistent choice for both new and veteran players looking to stand out in close-quarters combat.

How Rare Is the MAG-7 | Firestarter?

The rarity of MAG-7 | Firestarter in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as Mil-Spec Grade (blue), making it more common in comparison to higher-tier skins. CS2 (CS:GO) MAG-7 | Firestarter is obtainable from the Arms Deal 3 Collection, specifically through the Arms Deal 3 Case. As of now, it remains available in the drop pool and can still be unboxed, meaning supply is relatively steady. The probability of unboxing the MAG-7 | Firestarter is consistent with Mil-Spec skins—typically the most common tier in weapon cases. There is no Souvenir version available, so odds for a Souvenir drop do not apply. Despite being widely accessible, its popularity in lower and mid-tier inventories is notable, especially among budget-conscious players seeking visually striking skins without breaking the bank.

MAG-7 | Firestarter Wear Levels and Conditions

Pattern description: The MAG-7 | Firestarter finish features dynamic flames engulfing the shotgun\'s body over a dark background, creating a bold and aggressive appearance.

Pattern difference: The pattern remains identical across all float values, so every MAG-7 | Firestarter showcases the same vivid flames.

Effect of float: The MAG-7 | Firestarter float value ranges from 0.06 to 0.80, allowing it to be available in all standard wear levels: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred. Lower float values offer more pristine finishes, while higher floats show increased wear.

Skin Features: This skin comes in both regular and StatTrak™ variants, which track your kills.

MAG-7 | Firestarter Factory New: The Factory New version has clear, vibrant flames with little to no visible wear. Prices are the highest among the versions, appealing to collectors.

MAG-7 | Firestarter Minimal Wear: Minimal Wear closely resembles Factory New, with only minor abrasions on hard edges. Price is slightly reduced, making it a popular choice for players who want a fresh look at a lower cost.

MAG-7 | Firestarter Field Tested: Field-Tested skins have visible, yet not overwhelming, scratches and dullness, especially around the magazine and barrel. It strikes a balance between cost and appearance.

MAG-7 | Firestarter Well Worn: Well-Worn versions display more pronounced abrasions and muted colors. This option is budget-friendly but noticeably aged.

MAG-7 | Firestarter Battle Scarred: The Battle-Scarred skin shows heavy fading and scratching across the entire surface. This is the lowest-priced variant and attracts those seeking rugged aesthetics or the lowest entry price.

MAG-7 | Firestarter StatTrak: StatTrak upgrades are available for all wears, adding a kill counter to the weapon. StatTrak™ versions consistently cost more and are popular among kill-counting enthusiasts.

MAG-7 | Firestarter float value: Remember, prices for each wear tier often increase as the float value approaches the lower (cleaner) end of the spectrum, especially for Factory New and Minimal Wear. The MAG-7 | Firestarter finish is resilient, maintaining its visual impact across all conditions.
