The History of the MAC-10 | Candy Apple in CS2 (CS:GO)

The MAC-10 | Candy Apple in CS2 (CS:GO) was first introduced on August 14, 2013, as part of The Italy Collection, which launched alongside the Arms Deal update. Designed by Valve's in-house art team, this skin features a simple but striking solid red paint, accentuated by the stock's classic black details. The CS2 (CS:GO) MAC-10 | Candy Apple gained traction during early CS:GO Majors, where its bold and instantly recognizable design often stood out on professional streams. Periods of intense community hype followed major tournaments, further cementing its popularity. While it was initially a common sight in regular matchmaking, its appeal only grew as skins became central to the CS:GO economy. With the transition into Counter-Strike 2, the MAC-10 | Candy Apple retained its popularity thanks to its affordable price, nostalgic vibe, and continued demand from both players and collectors. Its combination of history, simplicity, and lasting appeal has solidified its status as a staple in the game’s skin repertoire.

How Rare Is the MAC-10 | Candy Apple?

The MAC-10 | Candy Apple in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as an Industrial Grade skin, placing it among the more accessible rarities. The skin originally dropped from The Italy Collection, commonly obtainable through trade-up contracts or collection packages tied to the Italy map. It was removed from most active drop pools, which has gradually increased the skin's rarity and appeal among dedicated collectors. The CS2 (CS:GO) MAC-10 | Candy Apple does not have a Souvenir version, limiting the sought-after signed or tournament variants. The probability of unboxing a MAC-10 | Candy Apple today depends on the map collection availability, but its popularity is maintained due to nostalgia and its low price makes it highly traded and visible among players.
