The History of the ★ M9 Bayonet | Doppler in CS2 (CS:GO)

The ★ M9 Bayonet | Doppler Phase 2 in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed by Valve's in-house art team and introduced alongside other Doppler finishes in the "Chroma" case on January 8, 2015, during the height of CS:GO. It quickly gained notoriety for its exceptionally vibrant blue-and-purple hues, which were a stark contrast to earlier finishes. This skin became particularly famous during the CS:GO Majors where professional players and influencers would unbox and showcase their Doppler knives, including Phase 2, generating massive excitement and envy in the community. The allure of the Doppler Phase 2, with Phase 2 being the most desirable due to its distinctive coloring, made it an instant classic. As CS:GO transitioned into CS2, the legacy of the CS2 (CS:GO) ★ M9 Bayonet | Doppler Phase 2 endured and even increased in popularity. Its reputation as a symbol of prestige has only grown over time, ensuring its place as an iconic knife skin that is both historically significant and ever-relevant among players and collectors.

How Rare Is the ★ M9 Bayonet | Doppler?

The rarity of ★ M9 Bayonet | Doppler Phase 2 in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as Covert, which is the highest tier for knife skins. The CS2 (CS:GO) ★ M9 Bayonet | Doppler Phase 2 can be unboxed from Chroma, Chroma 2, and Chroma 3 cases, but the odds are extremely low—estimated at around 0.26% for a knife and far less for the specific Phase 2 variant. There is no Souvenir version, making regular unboxings the only source. Valve has not removed the Chroma cases from rotation, but the supply is limited by case openings. Its stunning color palette contributes to the skin's widespread popularity and inflated market value. The phase-specific color pattern (especially the predominantly blue hue of Phase 2) drives demand among traders and collectors, which means the price and rarity are consistently high for this iconic knife.

★ M9 Bayonet | Doppler Phase 2 Factory New: The most premium form, with a vibrant blue shimmer and virtually no signs of wear, fetching the highest prices.
★ M9 Bayonet | Doppler Phase 2 Minimal Wear: Slight surface abrasions can appear but remains visually similar to Factory New; a more affordable option for collectors.
★ M9 Bayonet | Doppler Phase 2 Field Tested / Well Worn / Battle-Scarred: Not available due to the float value restrictions, so these conditions do not exist for this knife.
