The History of the ★ M9 Bayonet | Boreal Forest in CS2 (CS:GO)

The ★ M9 Bayonet | Boreal Forest was designed by Valve's in-house art team and made its debut during the iconic Arms Deal update on August 14, 2013. It was designed to emulate classic military camouflage themes, inspired by real-world forest patterns. The skin quickly gained traction among enthusiasts for its authentic look and availability as part of the standard weapon case drops.
Its appearance history includes being featured in the original Weapon Case series, making it readily accessible at launch, and rising in demand during major CS:GO tournaments when knives became a symbol of skill and success. The skin saw heightened attention during various CS:GO Majors, with professional players occasionally wielding it in high-stakes matches, further fueling its popularity and market desirability.
During periods of community hype, when knife trading and unboxings peaked, the Boreal Forest stood out as a classic option, often chosen by players seeking a more understated yet authentic military vibe.
The transition into Counter-Strike 2 breathed new life into old favorites, including the ★ M9 Bayonet | Boreal Forest in CS2 (CS:GO), as players enjoyed upgraded graphics and smoother animations.
