What Is the Karambit | Lore?

Karambit | Lore is a well-known and valued CS2 (CS:GO) Knife skin with a color scheme of yellow and gold, which has a long history in the game.

CS2 (CS:GO) Karambit | Lore is available in all wear conditions, such as Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, with a float range from 0.00 to 0.65. It allows CS2 players to choose a wear quality depending on their budget and goals. The float directly affects the skin's rarity, limited market offerings, and price.

The History of the ★ Karambit | Lore in CS2 (CS:GO)

The CS2 (CS:GO) ★ Karambit | Lore was created by Valve's in-house art team as part of the Gamma Collection, with its design inspired by legendary skins like the AWP | Dragon Lore. Featuring intricate gold and green Celtic motifs, this iconic knife skin instantly stood out for its craftsmanship and prestige.

Valve introduced the Karambit | Lore on June 15, 2016, with the release of the Gamma Case during the “Gamma Exposure” update. Its debut coincided with major CS:GO tournaments, quickly sparking community hype as pro players and streamers showcased it in high-stakes matches. This exposure cemented its reputation, with social media highlights of jaw-dropping plays fueling its legendary status.

Over the years, the Karambit | Lore has remained one of the most sought-after CS2 knife skins. It’s frequently seen in the inventories of professional players like Havoc, RAALZ, and mzinho. With Counter-Strike’s evolution into CS2, the updated graphics and lighting made its golden finish even more breathtaking, boosting its popularity even further.

Beyond its prestige, the Karambit | Lore has proven to be a strong investment. Its price has doubled in recent years, rising from $1,200 to $2,400, reflecting both its rarity and enduring demand. Today, it remains a centerpiece for collectors and competitive players, holding its place as one of the most iconic knives in CS2 history.

How Rare Is the ★ Karambit | Lore?

Lore is a Rare Special Item, meaning the skin is exceedingly rare. Karambit | Lore drop odds are extremely low. The chance of getting the Knife through the case opening is approximately 0.26%. Gamma Case and Gamma 2 Case contain Karambit.

Here, we provide a detailed explanation of the Karambit | Lore drop odds:

Gamma Case contains thirty CS2 (CS:GO) skins for many Knives, including Bayonet | Gamma Doppler, Flip Knife | Bright Water, Karambit | Lore, Gut Knife | Black Laminate, and others.

The approximate drop odds of any Rare Special Item tier skin from Gamma Case is 0.26%.

To know the approximate drop odds of Lore, we should divide 0.26% by thirty (the number of all Knife skins in the case): 0.26 / 30 = 0.0086%. This is the approximate drop odds of getting Karambit | Lore from Gamma Case and Gamma 2 Case, as these cases both contain thirty Knife skins.

CS2 (CS:GO) Karambit | Lore is available in a standard variant and with the StatTrack counter, which tracks the number of kills the player made using the skin. The chance to get the StatTrack version of the Lore is around 10%. It means the drop odds of getting Karambit | Lore with StatTrack counter from Gamma Case or Gamma 2 Case іs 0.0086% * 0.1 = 0.0000086%.

★ Karambit | Lore Wear Levels and Conditions

Karambit | Lore is one of the CS2 (CS:GO) skins available in all wear levels: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred. For better understanding, we provide the detailed table with wear conditions and float value for that CS2 (CS:GO) Knife skin:

Factory New: 0.00 — 0.07

Minimal Wear: 0.07 — 0.15

Field-Tested: 0.15 — 0.38

Well-Worn: 0.38 — 0.45

Battle-Scarred: 0.45 — 0.65

The lowest float value (0.00) means the highest quality of the Karambit | Lore, which is the Factory New wear level. Since the skin has a wide range of float values, the worst wear condition is Battle-Scarred, with a float value of 0.65. In that quality, Knife skin has many signs of wear, such as scuffs, scratches, discoloration, and fading of the finish. These factors directly affect the price of the Karambit | Lore.

What Is the StatTrack Karambit | Lore?

The StatTrack Karambit | Lore differs by the kill counter on the blade of the CS2 (CS:GO) Knife. The ST system counts the number of kills the player makes by using a skin.

The CS2 (CS:GO) skins with the StatTrack system, such as Karambit | Lore, are rarer than standard versions. That is why ST skins are usually more valuable than standard items. Still, the StatTrack counter on the CS2 (CS:GO) Knives is design-dependent. In other words, it could be inconspicuous and hardly readable. That is the reason why the StatTrack Karambit | Lore and the standard version have the same price.

How to Get a ★ Karambit | Lore

There are several ways to get a Karambit | Lore in CS2 (CS:GO). The most common method is through case openings. This iconic knife can only be found in the Gamma Case and Gamma 2 Case, which are among the rarest weapon cases in the game. These cases can occasionally drop through CS2’s weekly drop system, with an approximate chance of only 1%, or they can be purchased directly from the Steam Community Marketplace or third-party platforms. To open a case, you’ll need to buy a Gamma Case Key or Gamma 2 Case Key, bringing the total cost to around $30 for each opening. However, the chances of unboxing a Karambit | Lore are extremely low less than 0.26% making this the most unpredictable and expensive method, often requiring hundreds of openings with no guarantee of success.

Another option is to purchase the Karambit | Lore directly through the Steam Community Marketplace. Steam is Valve’s official platform for buying and selling skins, offering high security and safe payment options. While this method is secure, it has its downsides. Steam funds cannot be withdrawn for real money, payment methods are limited, and prices are often higher compared to other platforms due to high demand.

For players looking for a faster and more flexible option, third-party marketplaces like Skin.Place are the best choice. These platforms usually offer lower prices than Steam, a wider variety of deposit and withdrawal options, and instant transactions. Unlike Steam, they allow you to cash out your balance, giving you much more freedom and value for your money. Skin.Place stands out for its transparent reputation system, secure transactions, and competitive offers, making it a reliable and cost-effective way to add rare skins like the Karambit | Lore to your inventory.

It’s important to note that the Karambit | Lore cannot be obtained through trade-up contracts. Knives belong to the “Exceedingly Rare Special Item” category, which is separate from other skin rarities like Covert or Classified, meaning direct unboxing or purchasing is the only way to get this legendary knife.

For players who want to secure this skin quickly and safely, buying CS2 (CS:GO) skins directly on Skin.Place remains the most practical and affordable solution.

Final Thoughts for Collectors and Players

The Karambit | Lore is one of the most legendary and valuable CS2 (CS:GO) knife skins, admired for its stunning design and extreme rarity. While it’s possible to unbox this knife through Gamma cases or buy it on the Steam Community Marketplace, both options come with significant downsides from very low drop chances to high prices and limited payment flexibility.

For players who want to secure a Karambit | Lore quickly, safely, and at the best value, Skin.Place offers the perfect solution. With lower prices, instant transactions, and a wide range of deposit and withdrawal methods, it’s the smartest way to add this iconic skin to your collection and elevate your CS2 inventory today.
