The History of the ★ Karambit | Fade in CS2 (CS:GO)

The ★ Karambit | Fade in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed by Valve’s in-house art team, drawing inspiration from real-world tactical karambit knives and elevating its appeal with a stunning fade finish. This skin was introduced to the game on August 14, 2013, as part of the "Arms Deal" update, one of the most pivotal moments in Counter-Strike’s cosmetic history. Over time, the CS2 (CS:GO) ★ Karambit | Fade saw its popularity skyrocket, especially after it was featured in the original weapon case and subsequently in various showcases by professional players during CS:GO Majors. Notable moments include highlight reels, unboxing videos, and huge community events that generated massive hype, making it a holy grail for many. As the game transitioned from CS:GO to Counter-Strike 2, the legacy and premium status of the skin only grew. Its rarity and distinct looks have ensured that it remains a centerpiece in inventories, beloved by both OG CS:GO fans and a new generation of CS2 collectors.

How Rare Is the ★ Karambit | Fade?

The CS2 (CS:GO) ★ Karambit | Fade is classified as a Covert knife, making the rarity of ★ Karambit | Fade extremely high. It was originally obtainable from the "CS:GO Weapon Case", "CS:GO Weapon Case 2", and "CS:GO Weapon Case 3", but has since been removed from active drop pools, further limiting its availability. The chances of unboxing a knife from these cases is already less than 1%, and getting the specific Fade pattern narrows your odds even further. There has never been a Souvenir ★ Karambit | Fade, so Souvenir odds do not apply. Its removal, legendary status, and high demand among players guarantee that it remains one of the rarest and most desirable skins on the market.

★ Karambit | Fade Wear Levels and Conditions

Pattern description
The ★ Karambit | Fade features a mesmerizing gradient that transitions from metallic pink, through purple, to gold and sometimes blue at the tip, with the Fade finish defined by its vivid, mirror-like color blend. Depending on the pattern index, some knives exhibit more desirable coloration, such as the renowned "Full Fade".

Effect of float
The ★ Karambit | Fade float value ranges only from 0.00 to 0.08, restricting it to the higher wear tiers—Factory New and Minimal Wear.

Factory New:
★ Karambit | Fade Factory New has the clearest and brightest fade, fetching the highest prices—often $2000–$3000+ depending on color coverage and pattern. Abrasion is nearly invisible, and top-tier patterns (Full Fade) command a significant premium.

Minimal Wear:
★ Karambit | Fade Minimal Wear exhibits minute scratches visible only on close inspection. The price is slightly less than Factory New but still premium, ranging $1800–$2500. Color vibrance is nearly identical to FN.

Field-Tested, Well-Worn, Battle-Scarred:
Due to the ★ Karambit | Fade float value cap, this knife is NOT available in Field-Tested, ★ Karambit | Fade Well Worn, or ★ Karambit | Fade Battle Scarred conditions—the finish does not spawn in those wear levels.

StatTrak™:
The ★ Karambit | Fade StatTrak variant counts kills and is considerably rarer, with ★ Karambit | Fade Factory New StatTrak selling for several thousand dollars—prices often exceed $4000, depending on pattern and fade percentage.

Skin Features:
Fade-specific collectibility and the prestigious StatTrak variant make this item highly desirable for both players and collectors.

★ Karambit | Fade Price & Market Value

The ★ Karambit | Fade price is one of the highest among knife skins in CS2 (CS:GO). Factory New versions currently sell for around $2000–$3200, with especially desirable "Full Fade" patterns reaching $3500+ on trusted marketplaces. Minimal Wear usually ranges from $1800–$2500, with a slight dip in price as compared to FN. Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred are not available due to the limited Fade float value range. For StatTrak™ Factory New, prices soar above $4000, and even higher for rare pattern combinations. The ★ Karambit | Fade price is further influenced by its float value, pattern (Full Fade is most valuable), and whether the blade carries rare stickers or unique float signatures. How much is the ★ Karambit | Fade depends heavily on these factors, but it remains a blue-chip investment for both players and collectors. Is ★ Karambit | Fade worth buying?
