The History of the ★ Hand Wraps | Badlands in CS2 (CS:GO)

★ Hand Wraps | Badlands in CS2 (CS:GO) was introduced on December 8, 2015, with the release of the "Glove Case." Designed by the Valve art team as part of a broader collection bringing gloves as wearable skins into CS:GO, the Badlands variant quickly attracted attention for its weathered, tactical look that evoked a sense of authenticity. Early on, the skin’s rugged design distinguished it among collectors, especially during the time gloves became a brand-new skin slot in CS:GO. The initial hype around gloves skyrocketed during several CS:GO Majors, as professional players began equipping and showcasing glove skins live, raising the profile of CS2 (CS:GO) ★ Hand Wraps | Badlands. Community forums, YouTubers, and streamers discussed the unique patterns and wear levels, fueling trends and increasing its desirability. With the transition from CS:GO to Counter-Strike 2, ★ Hand Wraps | Badlands retained its loyal fanbase and continues to be a favorite for both its classic look and ties to early glove skin history in Counter-Strike.

How Rare Is the ★ Hand Wraps | Badlands?

The rarity of ★ Hand Wraps | Badlands in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as Extraordinary, making it one of the rarest glove skins you can obtain. CS2 (CS:GO) ★ Hand Wraps | Badlands can be found in the Glove Case and the Operation Hydra Case, but as these cases have been discontinued and are no longer a regular part of the drop pool, supply is now strictly limited, amplifying its rarity. The odds of unboxing glove skins like the ★ Hand Wraps | Badlands are exceptionally low—roughly 0.26% per case opened, making them true collector's items. There are no Souvenir versions of ★ Hand Wraps | Badlands, which further sharpens its exclusivity. Its rugged aesthetic and scarcity have kept it popular, and the skin consistently ranks among the most coveted glove choices for collectors and pros.

★ Hand Wraps | Badlands Wear Levels and Conditions

Pattern description
The ★ Hand Wraps | Badlands finish features rough, cloth wraps in a sand-brown, earth-toned camouflage with mesh overlays, epitomizing a survivalist style. Each pair comes with subtle pattern and wear variations based on the float value.

Pattern difference
While base camo stays consistent, slight changes in wear may accentuate certain areas differently, making high-float pairs look especially worn.

Effect of float
The ★ Hand Wraps | Badlands float value ranges from 0.06 to 0.80, allowing it to drop in every wear condition, impacting color vibrancy and visible wear.

Skin Features
There is no visual difference caused by pattern index, but the float and wear affect the level of distress on the wraps.

★ Hand Wraps | Badlands factory new: These are extremely rare and highly valued, featuring a crisp pattern, clean stitching, and little to no visible wear. Colors appear the most vibrant.

★ Hand Wraps | Badlands minimal wear: Slightly more common than Factory New, but only subtle abrasions appear around the edges. Still retains most of its original look at a lower price point.

★ Hand Wraps | Badlands Field Tested: Moderate wear is visible, especially around the knuckles and outer fabric seams. Prices drop notably, but Field-Tested gloves remain popular as an affordable option.

★ Hand Wraps | Badlands well worn: Noticeable fading and fraying on the fabric. Wear is apparent, often preferred by players who enjoy a battle-hardened aesthetic.

★ Hand Wraps | Badlands Battle Scarred: Heavy wear with substantial fading, threadbare sections, and discoloration. These have the lowest price but can appear unique to certain collectors.

★ Hand Wraps | Badlands StatTrak: There are no StatTrak™ gloves in the game, meaning you can't obtain a StatTrak™ version of ★ Hand Wraps | Badlands.

In summary, the ★ Hand Wraps | Badlands finish can be found in all standard wear levels, with prices and appearance largely shaped by the float value, but not in StatTrak™ editions.
