What is ★ Gut Knife | Lore? It is one of the most sought-after knife skins introduced in Counter-Strike, instantly recognizable by its medieval, gold-and-green design inspired by legendary motifs. The ★ Gut Knife | Lore in CS2 (CS:GO) not only boasts an impressive visual finish but remains an essential collector’s piece for serious players.
Since its introduction, CS2 (CS:GO) ★ Gut Knife | Lore has become a status symbol among both pro players and die-hard skin collectors. Its vibrant, intricate design and prestigious rarity set it apart from many other knives in the game. For those looking to showcase both their taste and dedication, owning the CS2 (CS:GO) ★ Gut Knife | Lore signals expertise and commitment to the Counter-Strike community.
With its unforgettable artwork and association with top-tier gameplay, this skin continues to hold lasting value and admiration within the Counter-Strike 2 landscape.
The History of the ★ Gut Knife | Lore in CS2 (CS:GO)
The skin made its debut on June 15, 2016, with the Gamma Case update in CS:GO. Upon release, its ornate gold blade with Celtic engravings quickly attracted the attention of skin collectors and competitive players alike. The Lore series drew community hype thanks to its legendary roots—mirroring the classic Dragon Lore AWP and engaging fans through shared thematic elements.
Its popularity soared during key CS:GO Majors, with countless pro players equipping the Gut Knife | Lore to make a style statement during high-profile matches. Over the years, the skin has maintained consistent demand, cemented by players and influencers flaunting it in streams and tournament play.
With the transition into CS2, the CS2 (CS:GO) ★ Gut Knife | Lore retained its status and even increased in desirability due to updated lighting and skin rendering. To this day, it remains a favorite among dedicated knife skin enthusiasts and a prominent fixture in curated inventories.
How Rare Is the ★ Gut Knife | Lore?
After introduction, the skin has never been removed from active cases, ensuring a continuous, although still extremely rare, supply. The probability of unboxing a Gut Knife | Lore is lower than 1%, aligning with general knife drop rates.
Despite lacking a Souvenir edition, the skin's distinct design and Covert rarity drive high popularity among players and collectors. Its high Covert rarity ensures that only a lucky few will ever unbox it, contributing significantly to its desirability and value.
★ Gut Knife | Lore Wear Levels and Conditions
The ★ Gut Knife | Lore finish features an ornate gold blade decorated with intricate Celtic knotwork and a subtle green-tinted handle, mimicking the style of the famous Dragon Lore. The pattern is consistent across all float values, so collectors do not need to hunt for rare variations.
Effect of float
The ★ Gut Knife | Lore float value ranges from 0.00 to 1.00, meaning the skin is available in all five wear conditions. Float value determines the intensity of visible wear, notably edge wear and fading of the gold engravings.
★ Gut Knife | Lore factory new
Factory New specimens (float 0.00–0.07) are the most pristine, with clean, vibrant gold engravings and little to no edge wear. These are highly sought after and demand premium pricing.
★ Gut Knife | Lore minimal wear
Minimal Wear (float 0.07–0.15) shows only the slightest edge or tip fading, retaining nearly all visual appeal for a slightly lower price than Factory New.
★ Gut Knife | Lore Field Tested
Field-Tested (float 0.15–0.38) skins display some scratches and more pronounced fading, particularly around the blade's edge, making these a popular mid-tier option.
★ Gut Knife | Lore well worn
Well-Worn (float 0.38–0.45) and Battle-Scarred (float 0.45–1.00) have visible abrasions, dulled gold, and a heavily weathered look. Collectors sometimes value the unique "battle-used" aesthetic, while casual players choose these for affordability.
★ Gut Knife | Lore Battle Scarred
As the most weathered and least expensive, Battle-Scarred versions appeal to budget buyers or fans of the well-used style.
★ Gut Knife | Lore StatTrak
StatTrak versions are available for all wear levels and display kill counts, making them even rarer and raising both price and prestige for owners.
Skin Features
The ★ Gut Knife | Lore finish remains detailed in all conditions but rewards higher float value with more distinct abrasions. Whether in Factory New or Battle-Scarred, the skin stands out due to its unique pattern and status.
★ Gut Knife | Lore Price & Market Value
The CS2 (CS:GO) ★ Gut Knife | Lore price significantly increases for StatTrak versions: Factory New StatTrak variants can exceed $800, with other wear levels scaling accordingly. There is no Souvenir edition for this skin, as knives are not included in Souvenir packages.
Key factors influencing the ★ Gut Knife | Lore price include float value (with lower, clean floats commanding higher prices), existence of StatTrak, and the general demand set by skin trends and updates. Special stickers aren’t typically found on this knife.
How much is the ★ Gut Knife | Lore? Its current Steam Market price reflects ongoing demand and timeless visual appeal. Is ★ Gut Knife | Lore worth buying? For players and collectors who value design, rarity, and status, it remains one of the most prestigious Gamma Case knives available today.
What Is the Souvenir ★ Gut Knife | Lore
While Souvenir skins with pro autographs (like s1mple, dev1ce, or GuardiaN) attract high prices and prestige, no record-breaking Souvenir sales exist for this skin as such variants do not exist in the market.
