Who designed the Glock-18 | Candy Apple?
The Glock-18 | Candy Apple "finishes" were designed by the Valve art team and first appeared as part of the Italy Collection.

Appearance history
Initially introduced to the CS:GO community on November 27, 2013, Glock-18 | Candy Apple quickly caught players' attention for its pure, glossy red slide paired with minimalist aesthetics. Its striking simplicity set it apart from other pistol skins and made it a go-to for players seeking understated elegance.

Rise to fame
Glock-18 | Candy Apple in CS2 (CS:GO) gained momentum during several CS:GO Majors, commonly appearing in highlight reels and pro player inventories. Its affordable price and high visibility fueled community hype, especially among newcomers and casual collectors.

The CS2 (CS:GO) Glock-18 | Candy Apple has since transitioned seamlessly into Counter-Strike 2, where it continues to enjoy widespread popularity. The glow around the skin’s past, including its frequent appearances in trade-ups and in the hands of top-tier pros, cements it as an enduring favorite in Counter-Strike history.

How Rare Is the Glock-18 | Candy Apple?

The rarity of Glock-18 | Candy Apple puts it among the most accessible and popular skins in the game. Originally, Glock-18 | Candy Apple in CS2 (CS:GO) could be obtained from the Italy Collection, which was available in regular drop pools and through trade-up contracts. However, since the Italy Collection’s removal from standard drops, acquiring the CS2 (CS:GO) Glock-18 | Candy Apple is only possible via the Steam Community Market or third-party sites, increasing its perceived rarity.

While the Glock-18 | Candy Apple isn't available as a Souvenir, it remains a "Consumer Grade" skin and therefore has a higher unboxing probability compared to rarer skins. Its continued popularity ensures steady demand, even as supply tightens slightly due to drop pool adjustments. The skin’s fame and positive reputation make it a frequent sight in matches and on trading platforms, further demonstrating its broad appeal.

Pattern description
The Glock-18 | Candy Apple finish features a bold, glossy red slide set atop a black pistol body. The contrast gives the pistol a timeless and clean visual appeal.

Effect of float
The Glock-18 | Candy Apple float value ranges from 0.00 to 0.70, making it available in all wear conditions. However, float heavily affects the extent of scratches and wear, mainly on the red-painted slide.

Wear levels explained
Glock-18 | Candy Apple Factory New: Float value between 0.00-0.07. This version has a flawless red gloss with virtually no scratches. It’s the most desirable and can command a premium price.
Glock-18 | Candy Apple Minimal Wear: Float value between 0.07-0.15. Very slight abrasions start becoming visible, but the finish remains clean and shiny, making it a popular pick for budget-conscious collectors.
Glock-18 | Candy Apple Field Tested: Float between 0.15-0.38. Small visible scratches and paint chips start to appear, especially around the high friction areas. It maintains most of its red shine with subtle wear.
Glock-18 | Candy Apple Well Worn: Float value between 0.38-0.45. Noticeably more scratching on the slide and frame; the red gloss is more faded, but still present.
Glock-18 | Candy Apple Battle Scarred: Float between 0.45-0.70. Significant wear and dulling of the red finish, with larger sections of the black base showing. This is generally the lowest-priced version.

Glock-18 | Candy Apple StatTrak™: All conditions of Glock-18 | Candy Apple come in StatTrak variants, featuring a kill counter on the side. StatTrak versions are always more expensive due to their added stat-tracking functionality and lower supply.

Skin features: The versatility, affordability, and clean design of the Glock-18 | Candy Apple finish make it a consistently popular choice, while the float value and StatTrak factor are the two primary determinants of price and collectability.
