The History of the Glock-18 | Brass in CS2 (CS:GO)

The Glock-18 | Brass in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed by Valve's in-house team and first introduced as part of The Arms Deal Collection in August 2013, making it one of the earlier Glock-18 skins available to players. Characterized by its smooth, burnished brass finish, it quickly began to stand out from other Glock-18 skins due to its simplicity and vintage charm.

During the early years of CS:GO Majors, the Glock-18 | Brass steadily grew in popularity thanks to its frequent appearances in pro players' inventories and its affordability for new collectors. The community buzzed about the skin whenever Arms Deal Collections were discussed, and it remained a common theme on trade forums and in showcases.

As Counter-Strike transitioned into CS2, the CS2 (CS:GO) Glock-18 | Brass continued to maintain its respected reputation. Players appreciated the skin for its history and consistent visual appeal, and it kept a steady foothold among both new generations of players and veteran collectors. Its smooth integration into CS2 ensured that it stayed relevant, with many considering it an essential "OG" collectible. Over the years, this skin has maintained its cult following, celebrated by purists and pros who prefer classic looks over more ostentatious modern patterns.

How Rare Is the Glock-18 | Brass?

The Glock-18 | Brass in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as an Industrial Grade (Light Blue) skin, which makes it more common than higher-tier finishes like Covert or Classified. It is part of The Arms Deal Collection—a package that was among the first-ever collections introduced to CS:GO. The CS2 (CS:GO) Glock-18 | Brass can only be acquired by opening cases from The Arms Deal Collection or by trading on the Steam Community Market since it was removed from the active drop pool, slightly impacting its availability and, subsequently, its rarity.

While unboxing odds are higher for Industrial Grade items, the specific Rarity of Glock-18 | Brass is still valued due to the age of the collection and supply constraints. There is no official Souvenir variant for this skin, and thus odds for Souvenir Glock-18 | Brass do not exist. Despite being common by rarity tier, growing demand and the limited influx from cases keep its prices relatively stable. Its classic design ensures it remains a popular choice among both entry-level and seasoned collectors.

Glock-18 | Brass Wear Levels and Conditions

Pattern description
The Glock-18 | Brass finish features a clean, brushed brass look covering the weapon's body. The skin fuses a rustic appearance with minimal modern overlays, offering a classic yet refined style that stands out for its subtle luster.

Pattern difference
Unlike some other skins, the pattern index has minimal effect on the visual output of the Glock-18 | Brass finish. The design remains consistently brass-toned across all pattern seeds.

Effect of float
The Glock-18 | Brass float value ranges from 0.00 to 1.00, meaning it is available in all wear conditions—from Factory New to Battle-Scarred. The wear directly impacts the level of tarnish and scratches visible on the brass, with higher float values creating a more distressed, worn effect.

Glock-18 | Brass factory new
Glock-18 | Brass factory new versions display a pristine, nearly untarnished brass finish. They are the most sought after by collectors for their clean appearance and command higher prices due to scarcity.

Glock-18 | Brass minimal wear
The Glock-18 | Brass minimal wear skins show only faint surface marks, maintaining much of the original brassy shine with slight hints of wear on the edges.

Glock-18 | Brass Field Tested
Glock-18 | Brass Field Tested skins begin to show noticeable patina and scratches, giving a slightly aged but still respectable finish. They are widely available and popular due to affordability.

Glock-18 | Brass well worn
The Glock-18 | Brass well worn variant displays obvious brass dulling, more extensive blemishes, and significant loss of luster, appealing to those who like the "weathered" look.

Glock-18 | Brass Battle Scarred
Glock-18 | Brass Battle Scarred skins have pronounced wear, darkened brass, and many marks, offering a truly vintage and rugged aesthetic at the lowest price point.

Glock-18 | Brass StatTrak
The Glock-18 | Brass StatTrak editions track in-game kills and come in all exterior conditions. StatTrak versions are always valued higher than their regular counterparts due to limited supply and the added feature.

In summary, the Glock-18 | Brass float value affects its appearance significantly, with each wear level bringing a distinct look and price. Collectors and traders often pay premiums for factory new and StatTrak variants, while field-tested and battle scarred options attract budget-conscious buyers.
