The History of the Five-SeveN | Heat Treated in CS2 (CS:GO)

The Five-SeveN | Heat Treated was designed by Valve’s in-house skin artists and was first introduced to the game on August 14, 2013, as part of The Arms Deal Collection in CS:GO. The Five-SeveN | Heat Treated in CS2 (CS:GO) quickly gained community attention due to its beautiful, randomized steel-blue and gold finish that mimics the appearance of heat-tinted metal. Over time, the skin grew in popularity, especially as it appeared in the loadouts of professional players during prestigious CS:GO Majors. The hype around the CS2 (CS:GO) Five-SeveN | Heat Treated only increased during special events when rare, clean pattern versions surfaced and were showcased by prominent YouTubers and streamers, driving demand on the marketplace. Upon the transition from CS:GO to CS2, the skin maintained its esteemed position and saw renewed popularity, given the graphical enhancements in CS2 that accentuated its metallic sheen. Today, it remains a beloved skin among long-time players and collectors for its history, unique randomized pattern, and lasting presence in the Counter-Strike ecosystem.

How Rare Is the Five-SeveN | Heat Treated?

The Five-SeveN | Heat Treated in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as a Restricted rarity (purple) pistol skin, making it relatively rare but not as exclusive as Covert grade items. It is exclusively available through the CS:GO Arms Deal Case, which was one of the earliest released skin cases. Although older cases are still technically available on the Steam Marketplace, the Arms Deal Case is no longer part of the active drop pool, making drops of the CS2 (CS:GO) Five-SeveN | Heat Treated increasingly scarce. The rarity of Five-SeveN | Heat Treated is also influenced by the skin’s randomized pattern, with some unique color balances being highly sought after by enthusiasts. There is no Souvenir version, so unboxing odds are tied solely to the Arms Deal Case’s Restricted tier. The skin regularly ranks among the more popular Five-SeveN skins in player inventories, which helps support stable demand and sustained value on the secondary market.
