The History of the FAMAS | Survivor Z in CS2 (CS:GO)

FAMAS | Survivor Z in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed by the artist emka and officially introduced into the game on May 26, 2015 as part of the Falchion Collection during Operation Bloodhound. The skin quickly earned attention for its thematic post-apocalyptic look—complete with rusted, blood-spattered panels and gritty textures that evoke the struggle to survive.

The CS2 (CS:GO) FAMAS | Survivor Z gained popularity during several CS:GO major tournaments, where its distinctive appearance helped it stand out in players' arsenals. Community hype spiked during events featuring drop cases from the Falchion Collection, as fans clamored for a chance to add this unique skin to their inventory. Over time, Survivor Z's raw, embattled look resonated with players who appreciate skins that tell a story.

With the transition into CS2, the FAMAS | Survivor Z retained its status as a beloved classic. Updates to lighting and model details in CS2 further highlighted the skin's weathered finishes, ensuring its ongoing popularity. Today, the Survivor Z remains an accessible and iconic skin, consistently featured in community lists and inventories.

How Rare Is the FAMAS | Survivor Z?

The FAMAS | Survivor Z in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as a Mil-Spec Grade (Blue) skin, which places it on the more common end of the Counter-Strike skin rarity spectrum. Players can obtain the CS2 (CS:GO) FAMAS | Survivor Z via the Falchion Case, released with Operation Bloodhound. The skin has never been removed from the Falchion Case drop pool, so supply has remained stable over time.

Rarity of FAMAS | Survivor Z is such that its odds of being unboxed in a single case are around 79.92% (as a Mil-Spec, the most common case rarity tier), making it accessible to most players. There is no Souvenir version of the skin, and while it is not considered rare compared to Covert or Classified skins, Survivor Z has become very popular for players seeking stylish yet affordable FAMAS options. Its sustained popularity ensures healthy demand across all wear levels, especially with StatTrak™ variants.

FAMAS | Survivor Z Wear Levels and Conditions

Pattern description: The FAMAS | Survivor Z finish features a post-apocalyptic theme: distressed red and grey metal, scratch marks, and blood splatters, evoking the feeling of a survivor’s tool in a zombie-infested world. The pattern itself does not significantly change between individual drops due to a fixed design.

Effect of float: FAMAS | Survivor Z float value ranges from 0.06 to 0.80, allowing it to appear in all five wear levels. Higher float values result in heavier visible wear, more scratches, and faded colors.

FAMAS | Survivor Z Factory New: This is the cleanest, most vibrant version of the skin, with crisp detailing and virtually no visible wear. It holds the highest price point among all wear levels, appealing to collectors who want an unblemished look.

FAMAS | Survivor Z Minimal Wear: Minimal wear skins maintain almost all visual clarity, with only tiny scratches or slight fading, making them a popular choice due to their near-pristine look at a slightly lower price than Factory New.

FAMAS | Survivor Z Field Tested: Characterized by moderate wear and more noticeable abrasions, this condition shows significant battle marks. Field Tested is the most commonly owned and traded variant, with prices being very affordable.

FAMAS | Survivor Z Well Worn: Heavy wear is visible here, with prominent fading and scratches. Its price drops further, but it remains popular for players who prefer a rugged aesthetic.

FAMAS | Survivor Z Battle Scarred: With the highest float value, this version displays extreme wear, almost washed-out colors, and significant surface damage. It is the least expensive variant, but still retains the thematic Survivor Z finish.

FAMAS | Survivor Z StatTrak: Every wear level is available as a StatTrak™ version, allowing kills to be tracked on the weapon. StatTrak options are consistently priced higher due to their unique feature and limited availability.

Regardless of wear, all FAMAS | Survivor Z skins maintain the signature blood-red and metallic look, making each wear level appealing to different player preferences.
