The History of the FAMAS | Roll Cage in CS2 (CS:GO)

The FAMAS | Roll Cage was designed by the community artists Algis and Puffin and was introduced to the game in the Chroma 3 Case update on April 27, 2016. This skin quickly caught the eye of the community due to its eye-catching, motorsport-inspired aesthetics. The debut of FAMAS | Roll Cage in CS2 (CS:GO) marked a significant evolution for FAMAS skins, blending colorful graphics with a sense of speed and energy.

During its initial appearance, the CS2 (CS:GO) FAMAS | Roll Cage was frequently spotted in the hands of both casual players and professionals during major CS:GO tournaments, becoming a symbol of prestige. It experienced peak hype during esports broadcasts, especially when used in high-stakes matches, elevating its desirability even further.

The transition into CS2 saw the skin retain its popularity, as the visual design continued to look fresh and modern in the upgraded engine. Community excitement for this skin remains high, with new and veteran players alike considering it a must-have for any serious collection. Its legacy as one of the iconic FAMAS finishes keeps the demand steady in the ever-evolving CS2 skin market.

How Rare Is the FAMAS | Roll Cage?

The FAMAS | Roll Cage in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as a Covert skin, marking it as the rarest possible grade for a weapon case drop. Players could initially obtain the CS2 (CS:GO) FAMAS | Roll Cage exclusively from the Chroma 3 Case, but it is no longer available in currently active drop pools, increasing its scarcity and price on the market. The rarity of FAMAS | Roll Cage makes the chances of unboxing it extremely low—approximately 0.64% per Chroma 3 Case—matching other high-tier Covert rifle skins.

There is no Souvenir FAMAS | Roll Cage version, and all available Roll Cage skins are unboxed or traded from the original case. Its persistent popularity is fueled by a combination of its rarity and striking design. Its removal from active drops and its status as a Covert skin ensure that supply is tightly limited, making it a highly-coveted item among traders and collectors.
