The History of the FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement in CS2 (CS:GO)

Designed by the prolific skin artist MultiH, the FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement in CS2 (CS:GO) entered the game on December 3, 2020, as part of the Operation Broken Fang Case. The skin's artistic street art style, featuring bold colors and dynamic lines, stood out immediately among other FAMAS finishes.

Upon its release, the CS2 (CS:GO) FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement garnered considerable excitement in the Counter-Strike community, especially among graffiti art enthusiasts and players seeking visually unique weaponry. Its popularity surged during several CS:GO Majors, as both casual and professional players showcased it on stage, spotlighting its flare and boosting its collectability. Content creators and streamers embraced the skin, leading to trend waves on social media and in highlight reels.

Transitioning from CS:GO to CS2, the skin retained—and arguably increased—its appeal due to the updated Source 2 engine's enhanced graphics, amplifying the vibrancy of its design. Today, the CS2 (CS:GO) FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement remains a highly-sought skin for collectors and pros, often seen in both esports matches and community matches.

How Rare Is the FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement?

The FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement in CS2 (CS:GO) can be found as a Classified Rifle skin—making it a moderately rare drop. It is available exclusively from the Operation Broken Fang Case, and since this case is no longer actively dropping, the supply is now finite, which enhances its long-term rarity.

As a Classified (pink) tier skin, the CS2 (CS:GO) FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement has a low unboxing probability, estimated at about 3.2% per case opening for a single Classified item—making the chances for this exact skin even lower.

There is currently no Souvenir version of the FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement, so you won't find this skin with pro player signatures from Major tournaments.

The Rarity of FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement and its discontinued drop source have made it an increasingly desirable option for collectors, and its deep colors and stylish look keep it popular among everyday CS2 players.
