The History of the FAMAS | Palm in CS2 (CS:GO)

The FAMAS | Palm in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed by Valve artists and made its debut on August 14, 2013, as part of The Dust Collection. This collection was released shortly after the official launch of CS:GO, aiming to honor the iconic map Dust with thematic weapon finishes. The CS2 (CS:GO) FAMAS | Palm pays homage to Dust"s Middle Eastern setting through its simple yet memorable green palm motif set on a tan background.
This skin gained early attention during the rise of CS:GO Majors because it became one of the more attainable yet visually striking FAMAS skins in the game. There were several periods, such as after Major tournaments in 2015 and 2016, when community hype for map collection skins—including FAMAS | Palm—intensified, as players sought unique items connected to beloved maps.
Transitioning into CS2, the FAMAS | Palm retained its old-school charm and continues to be popular among players who value legacy skins. While newer and flashier designs have come out, the FAMAS | Palm stands as a symbol of CS history, often prized for its collectible value and link to Counter-Strike"s roots.

How Rare Is the FAMAS | Palm?

The FAMAS | Palm in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as an Industrial Grade rifle skin. The CS2 (CS:GO) FAMAS | Palm can be obtained exclusively from The Dust Collection, which can drop as a reward for playing on the Dust map or by trading up. This skin is not available in weapon cases, and over time, its supply has become increasingly limited due to map drop pool adjustments and the removal of Dust Collection drops from standard play.
The rarity of FAMAS | Palm is moderate, but its limited drop pool contributes to higher desirability, especially for factory new or minimal wear conditions. Unlike some skins, it does not have a Souvenir variant, and the odds of unboxing it through trade-ups are relatively low due to the wide pool of possible outcomes. The skin holds steady popularity in the market thanks to its classic design and nostalgia value.

FAMAS | Palm Wear Levels and Conditions

Pattern description:
The FAMAS | Palm finish is characterized by its tan base and stylized green palm leaves scattered across the rifle"s body. Pattern difference is minimal; the palm leaf placements may slightly vary, but overall, the look remains consistent.

Effect of float:
The FAMAS | Palm float value ranges between 0.06 and 0.80, making the skin available in all five wear levels. Lower float values provide the most vibrant finish, while higher floats reveal more noticeable scratches and faded hues.

FAMAS | Palm Factory New: This condition is the rarest, showcasing the smoothest tan body and the crispest palm leaf patterns. Factory New editions command higher prices due to scarcity and aesthetic appeal.

FAMAS | Palm Minimal Wear: Slight differences from Factory New, with barely visible wear along the edges. Minimal Wear versions enjoy a strong balance between price and appearance.

FAMAS | Palm Field Tested: This condition displays subtle fading and light scratches on the body and palms. Field Tested is generally much more affordable while keeping the iconic look intact.

FAMAS | Palm Well Worn: Here, wear is much more visible, especially on high-contact areas. The palm leaf design loses its vibrancy, making the skin look significantly more used.

FAMAS | Palm Battle Scarred: Maximum wear with extensive scratches and marks, the palm design is heavily faded. These are the least expensive but have a distinctive weathered appeal.

FAMAS | Palm StatTrak: This skin does not have an official StatTrak version, reflecting its early release as a classic map collection item.

Overall, the FAMAS | Palm finish preserves its theme across all wear levels, with the FAMAS | Palm float value determining the amount of visible wear. Selecting the right condition depends on your preferences and budget.

FAMAS | Palm Price & Market Value

FAMAS | Palm in CS2 (CS:GO) remains affordable compared to many other classic skins, but its price has fluctuated as supply diminished. Factory New versions list for around $14-$15, Minimal Wear for $8-$11, Field-Tested at $4-$7, Well-Worn at $3-$5, and Battle-Scarred drops to approximately $2-$3.

The Souvenir version does not exist, so no pricing for signed editions is available. The FAMAS | Palm price is mainly influenced by the skin"s float value and, in some instances, rare old stickers from the era when these could drop.
How much is the FAMAS | Palm? It"s one of the most price-accessible legacy FAMAS skins, especially for budget collectors.

Is FAMAS | Palm worth buying? If you appreciate Counter-Strike tradition, iconic map collections, or want a low-cost yet classic rifle skin, the FAMAS | Palm is definitely a worthwhile investment. The CS2 (CS:GO) FAMAS | Palm continues to hold value as an affordable yet nostalgic collectible.
