The History of the FAMAS | Eye of Athena in CS2 (CS:GO)

The FAMAS | Eye of Athena in CS2 (CS:GO) was developed by the esteemed designer Apel. It made its debut as part of the Horizon Case update released on August 2, 2018, featuring intricate artwork inspired by the owl, a symbol deeply rooted in Greek mythology. This theme of wisdom and divinity struck a chord with the Counter-Strike community, immediately making the CS2 (CS:GO) FAMAS | Eye of Athena stand out.

The skin gained momentum during several CS:GO Majors, where community hype surged as professional players wielded it in intense matches. Its distinct pattern and visually rich finish contributed to that appeal, helping it become more than just an in-game asset, but also a symbol of status and taste.

Despite its relatively recent introduction compared to legacy skins, Eye of Athena quickly ascended to fan-favorite status due to strong community support, artistic merit, and frequent appearances in high-profile competitive play. The transition into CS2 preserved the skin’s striking appearance and desirability, ensuring it remained popular and respected. Today, the FAMAS | Eye of Athena in CS2 (CS:GO) continues to be highly regarded among skin collectors and players, serving as a testament to contemporary skin artistry and resonating with both new and seasoned fans of the game.

How Rare Is the FAMAS | Eye of Athena?

The rarity of FAMAS | Eye of Athena in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as Classified (pink), placing it among the top-tier FAMAS skins in terms of scarcity and desirability. The CS2 (CS:GO) FAMAS | Eye of Athena can be found exclusively through unboxing the Horizon Case and the Horizon Case’s rare drop pool. It was never available in Souvenir Packages and has not been removed from drop pools, which helps keep its supply steady but relatively limited due to its rarity ranking.

The probability of unboxing the FAMAS | Eye of Athena from its respective case is quite low, with odds estimated at around 3.2% for a Classified rarity skin, and much lower for a StatTrak™ variant. There is no Souvenir FAMAS | Eye of Athena version, eliminating that segment from the market.

Despite its challenging odds, the skin enjoys widespread popularity thanks to its striking design and frequent visibility in trade and showcase forums. Its status as a pink-tier, non-souvenir, case-exclusive skin underpins both its desirability and its position as a competitive collector\'s piece.

FAMAS | Eye of Athena Wear Levels and Conditions

Pattern Description
The FAMAS | Eye of Athena finish features a majestic owl with gold, turquoise, and bronze details, evoking the wisdom and mystique of the Greek goddess Athena. The pattern itself is fixed, so there are no significant differences between pattern indexes.

Effect of Float
The FAMAS | Eye of Athena float value ranges generally from 0.00 to 0.90, making it possible to obtain in all wear conditions: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred. The float value determines the visibility and sharpness of the artwork. Lower float values enhance the design\'s sharpness, while higher floats lead to visible scratches and wear, especially on the rifle\'s body and stock.

FAMAS | Eye of Athena Factory New
Factory New offers pristine, vibrant color with no visible blemishes. This is the most sought-after version by collectors. Prices are at their highest here due to the immaculate finish and minimal supply.

FAMAS | Eye of Athena Minimal Wear
Minimal Wear versions keep most of the skin’s vibrancy and only display extremely minor abrasions, typically on the edges or moving parts. These are still highly collectible and offer good value compared to Factory New.

FAMAS | Eye of Athena Field Tested
Field-Tested skins exhibit more apparent wear, with small scratches and dulling of the colors near the contact points. However, the central owl artwork remains crisp. Pricing noticeably decreases at this tier.

FAMAS | Eye of Athena Well Worn
Well-Worn versions carry visible scratches and faded hues but still maintain recognizable features of the main design. They are a budget-friendly option for those seeking style without a premium price tag.

FAMAS | Eye of Athena Battle Scarred
Battle-Scarred skins bear heavy wear, with significant abrasions and fading throughout. While some collectors appreciate the weathered look, this state is generally the most affordable.

FAMAS | Eye of Athena StatTrak™
The StatTrak version, available for all wear states, comes with a kill counter, boosting both price and prestige. StatTrak™ FAMAS | Eye of Athena is valued higher, especially in Factory New or Minimal Wear, as players and collectors seek impressive stat tracking combined with the unique finish.

In summary, FAMAS | Eye of Athena float value and wear level directly impact market value. The FAMAS | Eye of Athena finish is celebrated for its elegance, with each wear state catering to different players and collectors in the CS2 (CS:GO) community.
