The History of the FAMAS | Doomkitty in CS2 (CS:GO)

FAMAS | Doomkitty in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed by popular community artist Coridium, and it made its first appearance in the game on August 14, 2013 as part of the Arms Deal Collection. As one of the earliest skin designs to feature a bold, illustrative pattern with a subtle black and white cat skull motif, it quickly attracted attention for its creative approach. During early CS:GO Majors, the FAMAS | Doomkitty began to rise in prominence due to its unique contrast to the more colorful skins available at the time. Its popularity spiked periodically as YouTubers and community creators showcased it, and its status as an affordable yet visually distinctive option kept it relevant.

The CS2 (CS:GO) FAMAS | Doomkitty maintained a steady fanbase over the years, especially among players favoring subtle yet stylish looks. Its transition into CS2 continued its popularity, as players appreciate its nostalgic value and timeless design. Although it did not achieve the mythical status of ultra-rare skins, the skin still remains a cult favorite among both casual users and dedicated collectors.

How Rare Is the FAMAS | Doomkitty?

The FAMAS | Doomkitty in CS2 (CS:GO) has a Mil-Spec (Blue) rarity, making it one of the more common skin drops. It was originally obtainable through The Arms Deal Collection, one of the earliest skin collections from Valve. Since the collection has been retired and removed from active drop pools, the CS2 (CS:GO) FAMAS | Doomkitty has become less accessible, adding modest rarity value over time. There is no souvenir version, and its unboxing odds are typical for Mil-Spec skins, roughly 79.92% from a standard Arms Deal case if it were still available.

Despite being a common drop historically, its removal from drop rotations has led to gradual price increases and reduced supply. While not exceedingly rare, the skin’s cool factor and old-school status give it a certain popularity, particularly among long-time fans. No Souvenir FAMAS | Doomkitty exists, so collectors seek the best float and rare sticker combos instead.

FAMAS | Doomkitty Wear Levels and Conditions

Pattern description
The FAMAS | Doomkitty finish covers the weapon in a glossy black base adorned with a detailed white cat skull pattern, giving it a stylish and edgy look. The design is the same across all pattern indexes, ensuring consistency regardless of float.

Pattern difference
There are no significant differences between pattern indexes for the FAMAS | Doomkitty finish, making float and wear the primary differentiators.

Effect of float
FAMAS | Doomkitty float value ranges from 0.08 to 0.50, so it is available in FAMAS | Doomkitty Factory New, FAMAS | Doomkitty Minimal Wear, FAMAS | Doomkitty Field-Tested, FAMAS | Doomkitty Well Worn, and FAMAS | Doomkitty Battle Scarred.

Factory New: FAMAS | Doomkitty Factory New skins have a bright, crisp finish with almost no visible wear. These are typically the most expensive, with prices reflecting their pristine look.

Minimal Wear: FAMAS | Doomkitty Minimal Wear offers a look nearly identical to Factory New but with slight, barely noticeable abrasions on close inspection. This condition is a popular, budget-friendly option.

Field-Tested: FAMAS | Doomkitty Field Tested versions show light wear and faint scratches, especially around high-contact edges. Still visually appealing and affordable.

Well-Worn: FAMAS | Doomkitty Well Worn features more pronounced wear, fading of the gloss, and minor pattern disturbance. Appeals to players who like battle-tested aesthetics.

Battle-Scarred: FAMAS | Doomkitty Battle Scarred has the most substantial wear and faded design details. This version is the cheapest but offers a rugged, veteran look.

StatTrak™ versions: FAMAS | Doomkitty StatTrak records in-game kills and carries a noticeable price premium over non-StatTrak variants, especially in Factory New and Minimal Wear. FAMAS | Doomkitty float value directly affects pricing, with lower float values fetching higher prices, particularly among collectors.

Skin Features
The CS2 (CS:GO) FAMAS | Doomkitty features a timeless finish, consistent patterns, and StatTrak options, but no Souvenir edition exists.
