The History of the FAMAS | Commemoration in CS2 (CS:GO)

The FAMAS | Commemoration in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed by artist kosear and introduced as part of The CS20 Collection on October 18, 2019, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Counter-Strike. The skin is distinguished by its elegant gold-plated finish, intricate engravings, and the commemoration of two decades of Counter-Strike history. Its appearance history is heavily tied to the fanfare surrounding the CS20 update, where it quickly garnered attention for its polish and exclusivity.

During several CS:GO Majors, the CS2 (CS:GO) FAMAS | Commemoration became a popular choice among professional players and collectors, contributing to moments of community hype—especially when seen in the hands of top-tier competitors in high-stakes matches. Its design, commemorating Counter-Strike's rich legacy, contributed to a spike in demand and recognition.

The skin has maintained its popularity in the transition to CS2, with the updated game engine enhancing its rich gold detailing and visual impact. The FAMAS | Commemoration is now widely regarded as a classic, with collectors and players continuing to covet it for both its in-game presence and historical significance.

How Rare Is the FAMAS | Commemoration?

The FAMAS | Commemoration in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as a Classified rifle skin, making it relatively rare compared to other FAMAS finishes. It is exclusively obtainable from the CS20 Case, which was released as part of the CS20 Collection in October 2019. As the CS20 Case remains available but is less common in drop pools, the supply of the CS2 (CS:GO) FAMAS | Commemoration has become more limited over time, adding to its desirability.

The rarity of FAMAS | Commemoration means the probability of unboxing it directly is quite low, estimated at around 3.2% for Classified skins from the case, and even lower for the StatTrak™ version. There is no Souvenir FAMAS | Commemoration, so only the standard and StatTrak™ options are obtainable.

With its distinctive gold finish and high status among enthusiasts, the FAMAS | Commemoration's popularity continues, driving both demand and market value upward despite its relative scarcity.

FAMAS | Commemoration Wear Levels and Conditions

Pattern description
The FAMAS | Commemoration is adorned with a lustrous gold-plated finish and intricate engraved patterns lining the receiver and barrel. Its design is inspired by ornate commemorative firearms, making it truly stand out among all FAMAS skins.

Pattern difference
There are no significant pattern variations for this skin; each FAMAS | Commemoration features the same ornate detailing regardless of float value.

Effect of float
The FAMAS | Commemoration float value ranges from 0.00 to 0.60, making it available in all five standard conditions. Lower float values preserve the flawless golden finish, while higher float values show signs of wear and surface scratches.

FAMAS | Commemoration Factory New
Factory New versions are highly prized, showcasing a near-perfect gold sheen with sharp, pristine engravings. The FAMAS | Commemoration price in Factory New is significantly higher due to its rarity and visual appeal.

FAMAS | Commemoration Minimal Wear
Minimal Wear examples display only minor wear along edges with most of the gold finish intact. The FAMAS | Commemoration Minimal Wear is an attractive, slightly more affordable choice while retaining much of its luster.

FAMAS | Commemoration Field Tested
Field-Tested variants show moderate wear, diminishing some gold detail but keeping the core design recognizable. The FAMAS | Commemoration Field Tested balances price and appearance.

FAMAS | Commemoration Well Worn
Well-Worn versions exhibit notable wear, particularly on prominent edges, with much of the finish showing visible scrapes.

FAMAS | Commemoration Battle Scarred
Battle-Scarred examples are heavily worn, dramatically reducing golden brightness and revealing more metal underneath.

FAMAS | Commemoration StatTrak™
Available in all wear levels, the StatTrak™ version tracks kills and is more expensive, especially in lower-wear conditions. Float value further affects price and desirability in both standard and StatTrak™ options.

Skin Features
Rich gold engravings, all wear levels available, and StatTrak™ support; visually impressive for players and collectors.
