The History of the Dual Berettas | Cobalt Quartz in CS2 (CS:GO)

Who designed Dual Berettas | Cobalt Quartz?
The Dual Berettas | Cobalt Quartz in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed by Valve's in-house artists as part of the Arms Deal 3 Collection.
Appearance history
The skin was introduced on December 18, 2013, during the infamous Winter Offensive update in CS:GO. Launched alongside other quartz-themed finishes, it quickly caught the eye of players due to its striking cobalt blue color that stood out from most other sidearm skins at the time.
Rise to fame during CS:GO Majors
Although the Dual Berettas are not a staple in high-level meta, the CS2 (CS:GO) Dual Berettas | Cobalt Quartz rose to fame during the years when Major tournaments featured a broader diversity of pistol picks. Some pro matches showcased the weapon, briefly sparking hype around the skin as viewers saw pros sporting its glossy appearance.
Community hype and transition
Periodic spikes in popularity followed major updates, especially with the transition into Counter-Strike 2 (CS2). Its vibrant look and accessible price point kept the skin relevant among new and veteran players. As CS2 continued to evolve, Dual Berettas | Cobalt Quartz saw renewed interest, making it a consistent favorite in community showcases and trading circles.

How Rare Is the Dual Berettas | Cobalt Quartz?

The rarity of Dual Berettas | Cobalt Quartz in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as Mil-Spec Grade, making it more common than some of the higher tier skins but still desirable due to its appealing design. The CS2 (CS:GO) Dual Berettas | Cobalt Quartz can be obtained from The Arms Deal 3 Collection, which is accessible through specific in-game drops and cases. This skin has not been removed from active drop pools, ensuring a continued—though not overwhelming—supply. Rarity of Dual Berettas | Cobalt Quartz is also influenced by the lack of Souvenir variants and its relatively moderate unboxing odds compared to more exclusive skins. It remains a popular pick for players looking for an affordable yet vibrant pistol skin, making it widely available but still respected in trading circles.

Dual Berettas | Cobalt Quartz Wear Levels and Conditions

Pattern description
Dual Berettas | Cobalt Quartz in CS2 (CS:GO) feature a stunning metallic blue finish that shimmers under light, evoking the clarity and luster of real quartz.
Pattern difference

Effect of float
Dual Berettas | Cobalt Quartz float value ranges from 0.00 to 0.40, meaning the skin is available in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, and Well-Worn, but not in Battle-Scarred. Higher float values increase visible scratches, especially on the barrel and slide.
Skin Features
The skin is available in both regular and StatTrak™ variants, which track kills made with the weapon.

Factory New: Dual Berettas | Cobalt Quartz factory new display an immaculate, glassy blue finish with hardly any abrasions. These are the most expensive, favored by collectors and those who want a pristine look.
Minimal Wear: Dual Berettas | Cobalt Quartz minimal wear have slight scratches, mostly around the edges, but the vibrant blue still dominates. Prices are slightly lower than Factory New but remain highly attractive.
Field-Tested: Dual Berettas | Cobalt Quartz Field Tested show more visible wear and faded blue, but the overall hue is preserved. These are a budget-friendly pick for casual users.
Well-Worn: Dual Berettas | Cobalt Quartz well worn have substantial scratches and a duller finish, with price and demand lower due to diminished shine.
Battle-Scarred: There is no Dual Berettas | Cobalt Quartz Battle Scarred as the float value does not support this wear level.
StatTrak™ versions: Dual Berettas | Cobalt Quartz StatTrak hold higher value across all conditions, especially Factory New and Minimal Wear, due to the integrated kill tracker feature. The finish is otherwise identical to non-StatTrak variants.
Float value and finish impact the price and appeal. Lower float values maintain the crisp cobalt look, while higher floats show more wear and less shine.
