The History of the ★ Bayonet | Stained in CS2 (CS:GO)

The genesis of the ★ Bayonet | Stained can be traced back to the early days of CS:GO, where it was introduced as one of the original finishes upon the launch of the Arms Deal update. Designed by the Valve CS:GO team, this skin features a distinctive patina effect achieved through acid etching, giving each copy its own unique pattern. The ★ Bayonet | Stained in CS2 (CS:GO) quickly rose in popularity, being among the more accessible knife finishes that still provided a rare and battle-hardened aesthetic highly favored by the community.

This knife gained further notoriety during several CS:GO Majors, with famous highlights and unboxings showcased by both professional players and top streamers, amplifying its desirability. Periods of intense community hype, especially following high-profile unboxings and YouTube showcase videos, reaffirmed its status as a fan favorite.

With the transition to Counter-Strike 2, the CS2 (CS:GO) ★ Bayonet | Stained saw its visuals updated with improved lighting and reflections, bringing new life to its already established popularity. Its unmistakable appearance and straightforward elegance have helped maintain its relevance among both veterans and new players throughout the evolution of Counter-Strike.

How Rare Is the ★ Bayonet | Stained?

The rarity of ★ Bayonet | Stained in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as 'Covert', the highest rarity for knives in the game. This particular skin can be obtained from any of the weapon case drops that include the classic knives, such as the 'CS:GO Weapon Case', 'eSports 2013 Case', and 'Operation Bravo Case'. Because knife drops are extremely rare to begin with, and the CS2 (CS:GO) ★ Bayonet | Stained is only one finish among many, the probability of unboxing this skin is exceedingly low—typically estimated at less than 1%.

There is no Souvenir ★ Bayonet | Stained variant, which means all versions come from unboxing or trading. The skin remains quite popular, owing to its classic design and cross-generational presence. Knives, in general, have never been removed from drop pools, thus its supply is stable but always limited by low unboxing odds, keeping its value relatively high.

★ Bayonet | Stained Wear Levels and Conditions

Pattern description: The CS2 (CS:GO) ★ Bayonet | Stained showcases an acid-etched pattern on steel, featuring swirling silver and gray streaks unique to each skin due to the individual oxidized finish.

Pattern difference: Each ★ Bayonet | Stained features subtle pattern variation, with darker or brighter marbled lines, though differences are less dramatic than on some other pattern-based finishes.

Effect of float: The ★ Bayonet | Stained float value ranges from 0.00 to 1.00, meaning the skin is available in all conditions from Factory New to Battle-Scarred. The appearance changes slightly, with more marks and scratches as the float increases.

Skin Features: As a classic knife finish, it is available in both standard and StatTrak™ versions, which track kills.

★ Bayonet | Stained Factory New: Factory New variants have a pristine metallic shine, minimal surface scratches, and are highly desirable. These have the highest ★ Bayonet | Stained price, often appealing to investors and high-tier collectors.

★ Bayonet | Stained Minimal Wear: Minimal Wear shows only slight handling marks. Subtle scratches or faint fade in gloss may be visible, but overall appearance stays quite clean, making these popular and slightly more attainable than FN.

★ Bayonet | Stained Field-Tested: Field-Tested skins reveal more scratches and reduced gloss. They are a mid-tier option, balancing price and appearance, and are among the most commonly traded.

★ Bayonet | Stained Well-Worn: Well-Worn variants have heavier scratches and more noticeable wear, with the stained effect losing some luster. Prices are lower and many users choose these for affordability.

★ Bayonet | Stained Battle-Scarred: Battle-Scarred skins show significant deterioration, with deeper blemishes, dulled blade, and a visibly rugged look. These carry the lowest prices but can appeal for an authentic, war-torn aesthetic.

★ Bayonet | Stained StatTrak™: StatTrak™ versions are available in all wear levels. They feature an integrated kill counter, which can boost a skin's value, especially for Factory New or Minimal Wear items. StatTrak versions are always more expensive than their standard counterparts.

★ Bayonet | Stained finish: This finish remains consistent in color across wear levels, with the main changes being gloss and surface micro-abrasions. Float value impacts desirability and pricing—lower float equals higher value.

★ Bayonet | Stained Price & Market Value

When analyzing the ★ Bayonet | Stained price, market values vary significantly by wear level and whether the skin features StatTrak™.
