The History of the ★ Bayonet | Lore in CS2 (CS:GO)

The ★ Bayonet | Lore in CS2 (CS:GO) was introduced as part of the "Gamma" Case series released in June 2016, inspired by the legendary AWP Dragon Lore skin. The intricate design, featuring an elaborate gold-toned blade wrapped in Celtic knot patterns, was conceptualized by Valve's in-house team to bring medieval flair to the knife collection. The skin rapidly gained attention during CS:GO Majors and online events, as pros and influencers showcased it, amplifying the hype. Rare unboxings on live streams and popular YouTube videos further boosted its legend. The CS2 (CS:GO) ★ Bayonet | Lore maintained its relevance through several updates and the transition from CS:GO to CS2, with its detailed finish looking even better under the new Source 2 engine. As a result, the longing for this skin only intensified within the community and among dedicated collectors, ensuring the ★ Bayonet | Lore remains a staple of prestige.

How Rare Is the ★ Bayonet | Lore?

The rarity of ★ Bayonet | Lore in CS2 (CS:GO) is Covert, the highest tier available for knife skins. The skin can be exclusively unboxed from any of the "Gamma" Cases (Gamma, Gamma 2, Gamma Doppler), making it a rare find. These cases are still available on the Steam Market, though drops are now less frequent since older case rotations have shifted supply to the secondary market. The probability of unboxing a CS2 (CS:GO) ★ Bayonet | Lore is exceptionally low, estimated below 0.26%, and there is no Souvenir version, which contributes to its exclusivity. Despite its rarity, the skin's ornate finish and visual appeal have made it consistently popular among collectors and traders, sustaining high demand and a relatively stable price floor.

Skin Features
The skin is available in Standard and StatTrak™ versions, both highly valued.
★ Bayonet | Lore factory new: These variants have the least wear, with the gold and Celtic artwork nearly pristine. Prices are at a premium due to their rarity and high visual quality.
★ Bayonet | Lore minimal wear: Slight surface abrasions may appear along the blade edge, but the design remains vibrant. Considerably more affordable than Factory New but still highly collectible.
★ Bayonet | Lore Field Tested: Noticeable wear develops, particularly on the upper blade and crossguard, but the intricate knots remain clear. A popular choice for budget-conscious buyers.
★ Bayonet | Lore well worn: The golden finish appears faded, and scratches are prominent, especially along the edges. Still coveted for ownership, but at a noticeably reduced price point.
★ Bayonet | Lore Battle-Scarred: Heavy wear dominates, with significant portions of the gold faded and considerable surface marks throughout the blade.
★ Bayonet | Lore StatTrak: StatTrak™ variants are available for all conditions, displaying a digital kill counter on the handle. These command higher prices due to their scarcity.
★ Bayonet | Lore float value directly impacts the finish's shine and resale price, with lower floats (0.00–0.07) fetching the highest amounts.
