What Is the AWP | Hyper Beast?

The AWP | Hyper Beast stands out with its monstrous, fantasy-inspired artwork brought to life in neon shades of green, red, orange, and blue. Tentacles and sharp teeth twist across the sniper rifle’s frame, creating an aggressive, eye-catching design that makes it instantly recognizable on the battlefield.
CS2 (CS:GO) AWP | Hyper Beast skin comes with a float range of 0.00 to 1.00, making it available in all wear conditions: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred. Thanks to this wide availability, players can choose an AWP Hyper Beast that matches both their budget and their personal collection goals.

The History of the AWP | Hyper Beast in CS2 (CS:GO)

The Hyper Beast skin line was first introduced to CS:GO on May 26, 2015, as part of the Falchion Case during the “The Hunter and the Hunted” update. The design was created by community artist frontaLOBE, who brought the monstrous Hyper Beast concept to life.

The AWP | Hyper Beast was released shortly after the M4A1-S | Hyper Beast, continuing the series’ distinctive neon-creature design. Due to its massive popularity, the Hyper Beast theme later expanded to other weapons, including the Nova and Five-SeveN. While most Hyper Beast skins are Covert rarity, the Nova | Hyper Beast was released as a Classified skin.
As one of the oldest and most beloved designs in CS2, the AWP Hyper Beast has consistently held its reputation and value. It remains a favorite among casual players and professionals alike, with pro players such as shox, karrigan, and hyper known to use it in their inventories.

Since its release, the AWP | Hyper Beast has seen steady price growth. For example, its average price has more than doubled over the last five years, rising from $43 to over $90. This makes it not only a stunning skin to own but also an item with strong investment potential. In particular, StatTrak™ versions and high-quality conditions like Factory New and Minimal Wear are in high demand and tend to hold their value best.

How Rare Is the AWP | Hyper Beast?

Hyper Beast is a Covert rarity skin. It means the skin is extremely rare. For example, the AWP | Hyper Beast drop odds are extraordinarily low. The chance to get that sniper rifle through the case opening is approximately 0.64% or 1 in 156 case openings. Each user can get AWP | Hyper Beast skin by opening Falchion Case.

AWP | Hyper Beast is available in a standard version and with the StatTrak technology. The StatTrack AWP | Hyper Beast has a kill counter, which tracks the number of kills made by that skin. The chance of getting the StatTrack version of the sniper rifle is 10%, meaning the drop odds are 0.064%.

As one of the most unique and recognisable skins in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, AWP | Hyper Beast is also included in the top best AWP skins.

AWP | Hyper Beast Wear Levels and Conditions

AWP | Hyper Beast is one of the CS2 (CS:GO) skins available in all wear conditions from Factory New to Battle-Scarred. We provide the detailed table with wear quality and float value for better understanding:

Factory New: 0.00 - 0.07

Minimal Wear: 0.07- 0.15

Field-Tested: 0.15 - 0.38

Well-Worn: 0.38 - 0.45

Battle-Scarred: 0.45 - 1.00

The lowest float value means the highest quality of the AWP | Hyper Beast, which is 0.00 Factory New. The signs of wear are already noticeable from 0.07, which is Minimal Wear quality, with faded color on some parts of the sniper rifle, such as the scope, magazine, and muzzle. Starting from 0.25 float value, which is Field-Tested wear condition, a scope, barrel, and butt are colorless.

The CS2 players who prefer the perfect skin quality should pay attention to AWP | Hyper Beast Factory New and Minimal Wear conditions. Still, these wear levels have the highest price among other wear conditions.

AWP | Hyper Beast Price & Market Value

The AWP | Hyper Beast price depends on wear levels, such as Factory New or Well-Worn, float value, availability of the StatTrack technology, and stickers on the skin. For example, the basic version of Hyper Beast in Factory New wear condition ranges from $75 to $110, depending on the platform. The skin in the same wear quality with the StatTrack technology costs around $210 - $315.

Minimal Wear condition price ranges from $40 to $60, and the StatTrack version in the same quality could cost around $106 - $180. Field-Tested is more budget-friendly and costs approximately $25 - $40, or $62 - $90, with the StatTrack technology. AWP | Hyper Beast in Well-Worn wear condition price ranges around $22 - $34 and $62 - $106 with the ST system. Lastly, Field-Tested AWP needs $23 - $35 and $61 - $98 for the StatTrack version.

What Is the StatTrack AWP | Hyper Beast?

The difference between the StatTrack AWP | Hyper Beast and the standard version lies in the following details:

Kill Counter: The AWP | Hyper Beast, with the StatTrack technology, has a built-in digital counter that tracks the number of kills a player makes by using a skin.

Visual Indicator: The StatTrack AWP | Hyper Beast has a small orange LED display on the body of the sniper rifle that shows the kill counter.

Price and Rarity: The StatTrack AWP | Hyper Beast's price is higher than the standard version of the skin. The official drop odds of getting a skin with the StatTrack system is 10% or 0.064% of obtaining it through the case opening.

What Is the Souvenir AWP | Hyper Beast

Souvenir skins in Counter-Strike 2 are usually dropped during major CS2 (CS:GO) tournaments and can feature exclusive pro player autographs and stickers commemorating special matches. However, there is no Souvenir version of the AWP | Hyper Beast in CS2 (CS:GO). As a result, collectors and fans cannot acquire a tournament-branded Hyper Beast, making standard and StatTrak™ versions the only available types.

How to Get a AWP | Hyper Beast

Players have several options to obtain the AWP | Hyper Beast in CS2, each with its own pros and cons.
The most straightforward and reliable way is to buy the AWP Hyper Beast on third-party marketplaces like Skin.Place. These platforms give players direct access to all available wear conditions and StatTrak™ versions at competitive prices. Unlike the Steam Market, which often has higher prices and fees, third-party platforms usually offer more affordable deals, seasonal discounts, and instant delivery. This makes it easier for players to choose exactly the version of the AWP Hyper Beast that matches their budget and inventory goals.

Another method is to try your luck with the Falchion Case, the original case that contains the Hyper Beast. However, the Falchion Case itself is one of the rare weapon cases, with only about a 1% chance of dropping as a rare case drop. Even if you manage to get the case, the AWP | Hyper Beast drop odds are extremely low due to its Covert rarity. This makes unboxing the Hyper Beast one of the riskiest and most expensive ways to obtain it.

A third option is to use a trade-up contract, where players combine multiple lower-tier skins of the correct rarity to potentially receive the AWP Hyper Beast. While this can sometimes be cost-effective, the results are uncertain and depend entirely on probability, making it a risky choice compared to buying directly.

Overall, while case openings and trade-ups are part of the CS2 experience, the most secure and budget-friendly method remains purchasing the AWP | Hyper Beast from a trusted marketplace like Skin.Place. This ensures you exactly buy the CS2 (CS:GO) skin you want without depending on luck.
