What Is the AWP | Duality?

AWP | Duality shares a finish with a snake, patterns of red flowers, and white wavy lines. The dominant color is black, which features gold floral ornamentation. It has a calm but still dangerous design that is eye-catching in every match.

Valve introduced Duality to CS2 (originally CS:GO) on February 9, 2023, as part of the Revolution Case, alongside the "Revolution Case Skins" update. The community designer "Madara" created the AWP | Duality skin.

AWP | Duality is available in a float range from 0.00 to 0.80, presenting it in all wear conditions: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred. It allows CS2 players to choose a wear quality depending on their budget and goals.

The History of the AWP | Duality in CS2 (CS:GO)

The AWP | Duality has an interesting history that adds to its appeal. It was designed by the talented community artists 2Minds as part of the Dreams & Nightmares contest and was officially introduced on February 9, 2023, with the release of the Revolution Case in CS:GO. Initially, the case featured another AWP skin, AWP | Doodle Lore, but the CS2 community quickly discovered that its design had been plagiarized. Valve acted fast, replacing it with the AWP | Duality. All Doodle Lore skins already in players' inventories were automatically converted into Duality, marking the beginning of its journey.

With its striking red, gold, and black serpent motif, Duality immediately caught the attention of the Counter-Strike community. Its popularity surged in the first few months after release as players and streamers showcased it on social media and in ranked matches. The skin’s reputation grew even further when professional players like olofmeister, s1mple, and WorldEdit began using it during major tournaments, solidifying its place in the competitive scene.

Originally priced at around $150, the AWP | Duality was considered a premium skin at launch. Today, its average cost has dropped to about $10, with the highest-priced StatTrak Factory New version selling for around $35. This makes it an affordable and stylish option for most players, though its low price point makes it less suitable for long-term investment.

The AWP | Duality’s unique backstory, vibrant design, and strong presence in both casual and professional play have helped it remain one of the most recognizable AWP skins in CS2. Its lasting popularity and accessibility ensure that it continues to be a go-to choice for players who want a distinctive and iconic sniper rifle skin without overspending.

AWP | Duality Wear Levels and Conditions

AWP | Duality is one of the CS2 (CS:GO) skins available in all wear conditions from Factory New to Battle-Scarred. For better understanding, we provide the detailed table with wear conditions and float value for that sniper rifle skin:

Factory New: 0.00 — 0.07

Minimal Wear: 0.07 — 0.15

Field-Tested: 0.15 — 0.38

Well-Worn: 0.38 — 0.45

Still, there aren't scratches even in Field-Tested wear quality, which is a perfect solution for players who want to save money and buy CS2 (CS:GO) skin for a lower price.

AWP | Duality Price & Market Value

The AWP | Duality price depends on the float value, wear condition, such as Factory New or Battle-Scarred, availability of the StatTrack system, and stickers on the sniper rifle. The standard Duality in Factory New wear level ranges from $10 to $15. The StatTrack AWP in the same wear quality could cost $23 to $35.

Minimal Wear Duality could cost between $4 and $7, and the StatTrack variant's price ranges from $10 to $16. A Field-Tested sniper rifle costs around $16 or $25 for the skin with the StatTrack technology. The StatTrack AWP | Duality is more valuable than a standard version of the sniper rifle skin. For example, ST Duality in Battle-Scarred wear condition costs more than the non-ST version in Minimal Wear level. The reason for such difference lies in the StatTrack technology, which counts the number of kills the player makes using a skin.
Here are the primary keys of differences:

Kill Counter: The AWP | Duality, with the StatTrack technology, has a built-in digital counter that tracks the number of kills a player makes by using a skin.

Visual Indicator: The StatTrack AWP | Duality has a small orange LED display on the body of the sniper rifle that shows the kill counter.

Price and Rarity: The StatTrack AWP | Duality's price is higher than the standard version of the skin. The official drop odds of getting a skin with the StatTrack system is 10% or 0.32% of obtaining it through the case opening.

Overall, The StatTrack version of the weapon skin is more exclusive and valuable than the standard variant.
