What is AUG | Spalted Wood? It is a distinctive Classified-tier rifle skin in the Counter-Strike series, renowned for its earthy and natural wood-inspired finish. The AUG | Spalted Wood in CS2 (CS:GO) features a realistic spalted wood texture, making it a favorite among players who prefer subtle and organic aesthetic over flashy designs.
The CS2 (CS:GO) AUG | Spalted Wood holds importance as a stylish yet budget-friendly skin, giving both casual players and professionals an accessible option that stands out in inventories. Its understated look appeals to enthusiasts of minimalistic weapon skins while collectors recognize its unique placement in the St. Marc Collection. As a result, the AUG | Spalted Wood in CS2 (CS:GO) is considered a valued item, especially among collectors seeking to complete their collection or those appreciating skins with a natural design.
The History of the AUG | Spalted Wood in CS2 (CS:GO)
Upon its arrival, the AUG | Spalted Wood in CS2 (CS:GO) quickly gained attention for its authenticity-inspired finish, reminiscent of real spalted wood patterns found in woodworking. While it did not receive the same level of major spotlight as some high-tier skins, it garnered steady interest, especially as professional players and casters displayed it during smaller CS:GO Majors and community tournaments.
Throughout its existence, the skin has seen surges in hype, particularly when the value of the St. Marc Collection rose due to case pool changes and shifting meta. The CS2 (CS:GO) AUG | Spalted Wood transitioned seamlessly into Counter-Strike 2, retaining its appeal thanks to upgraded lighting and texture rendering in the new engine. Today, it remains a solid choice for both new and veteran players who appreciate its simplicity and collectible value.
How Rare Is the AUG | Spalted Wood?
Since the end of Shattered Web, the St. Marc Collection was removed from active drop pools, making this skin increasingly scarce. The Rarity of AUG | Spalted Wood, combined with the collection’s removal, means the odds of unboxing are now effectively zero outside of trading or purchasing from the secondary market. There are no Souvenir variants of this skin, so odds for Souvenir unboxing do not exist.
The CS2 (CS:GO) AUG | Spalted Wood enjoys moderate popularity due to its unique natural appearance and is frequently traded by collectors and enthusiasts.
AUG | Spalted Wood Wear Levels and Conditions
The AUG | Spalted Wood features a photorealistic spalted wood design, giving the rifle a rustic and organic appearance. Its pattern is consistent across floats, featuring intricate, vein-like markings with brown and tan hues.
Pattern difference
This skin has little pattern variability, as all patterns show the characteristic wood-grain look.
Effect of float
The AUG | Spalted Wood in CS2 (CS:GO) can be found in all major wear categories. The AUG | Spalted Wood float value ranges from 0.00 to 0.50, affecting how worn and faded the wooden finish appears.
AUG | Spalted Wood Factory New
Factory New versions display crisp lines and deep colors, often fetching the highest prices and considered most desirable due to minimal marks or scratches.
AUG | Spalted Wood Minimal Wear
Minimal Wear offers a finish nearly as clean as Factory New but with barely noticeable wear near the edges. Price is slightly lower than Factory New.
AUG | Spalted Wood Field Tested
Field Tested items tend to have visible abrasions and duller colors, making them a popular budget-friendly option.
AUG | Spalted Wood Well Worn
Well Worn versions show more extensive fading and visible scuffs. They are usually the least expensive, although some collectors like the rugged look.
AUG | Spalted Wood Battle Scarred
Battle Scarred skins have prominent wear, with much of the detailed finish faded or chipped away. These are priced at the lower end of the spectrum.
AUG | Spalted Wood StatTrak
StatTrak models track confirmed kills and are available across all wears. The presence of StatTrak can significantly increase a skin’s price, particularly in better conditions.
AUG | Spalted Wood finish quality, float value, and StatTrak all play a key role in determining its collectibility and cost.
AUG | Spalted Wood Price & Market Value
Stickers and a lower float value can impact the AUG | Spalted Wood price upwards, especially if the skin is in pristine condition. The AUG | Spalted Wood price for StatTrak versions can be much higher; Factory New StatTrak models range from $25 up to $50 depending on demand.
There is no Souvenir version available, so rare autograph or event bonuses do not apply. How much is the AUG | Spalted Wood? It generally remains budget-friendly in the secondary market and is a good entry-level collectible. Is AUG | Spalted Wood worth buying? For collectors and AUG fans who appreciate unique, natural-themed skins, it makes for a great addition at a reasonable price.
